But a much stronger case can be made against Foxman and the ADL by judging from their 91 year history. They are not an organization, honestly trying to promote inter-faith understanding. That has never been the actual thrust of their operation. Rather, they have stirred up resentment in every way they can, first on one side of the religious divide and then on the other. They are a Fabian Socialist, not a committed Jewish organization. Their function, in the Fabian assault upon America, is to marginalize American Jews in every way that they can.
How else would you explain their 84 years of acting in virtual tandem with the ACLU--including in the latter's attacks on the public display of the Ten Commandments (Judaism's most significant single recipe for human conduct), and attacks on Society's adversion to Homosexual behavior--an "abomination" under the Mosaic Law? The ADL is seeking to stir up overt acts of anti-Jewish activity, over the movie, so that they can achieve a self-fulfilling proposition. But if it comes, it will not be over an historic event, brought to life by players in 2,000 year old Near Eastern costumes, in which the good characters, that the movie goers will identify with, are all Jewish. If it comes, it will be in reaction to the ADL stirred impression that American Jews, dressed like other Americans, and a part of present day society, are trying to suppress a filming of the seminal event in the birth of the Christian religion.
This is so mind-bogglingly obvious, that it is very sad that there are still some, like this Rabbi in Rome, whom Foxman can still influence, and thus use, for his deliberate and clear cut purpose. No, I do not like to speculate on motives, where there is any doubt at all. But anyone willing to put side by side what Foxman says with the present day scenario which he himself has created, will see the point.
