Hey Kevin,

I do have a question concerning calvinism that I have never been given a clear answer on, and maybe you can clear it up. I believe in Total Depravity as well as Perseverance of the Saints. If we are Totally Depraved, meaning we are born sinners, then how can God punish me for doing something according to my nature? In other words, how can God punish a cat (a sinner) for not being a dog (a righteous man deserving of eternal life)? I don't see any justice in that. I believe God is sovereign and on the throne and that nothing will thwart His will, but I also believe He is a just God. So how can a just God condemn a cat to hell for not being a dog?

Not to steal Kevin's thunder, but this assumes we have a natural "neutral" destination and that He11 is a "punishment".

It also presupposes than - apart from the fall - our natural destination would be Heaven. This is simply not the case.
