I would pray that you have the Spirit of discernment (in spades, you are going to need the wisdom of Solomon for this, buddy) to understand the difference between an attack and a strong correction.Unfortunately, in the context of your comment, I'm not Solomon, and doubt that I could play him on TV. Fortunately, in the context of the here-and-now, because then I'd be dead.
Thank you for your kind remarks. Rest assured, eliminating the Religion Forum is the last resort, only to be done if everyone refuses to cooperate.

Of course if this board does get yanked, you are all invited to Nebraska for a good old fashioned picnic, followed by a heartfelt session of theology and beer (or other suitable non alcoholic drink!) Jesus drank wine, not beer. Heretic :)

**"The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself'." [Mark 12:31 (RSV)]
"But I say to you that hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you." [Luke 6:27 (RSV)]
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another." [John 13:34 (RSV)]
"If you love me, you will keep my commandments." [John 14:15 (RSV)]
Or, if the commandments of our Lord Jesus are insufficient (paraphrasing Paul) speak the truth in love.**
Amen!

It took years of intense therapy for me to get over that! Copious amounts of Cabernet could have acheived the same results in far less time.

I would that some will be reformed here, and that we can keep the Religion Forum. Agree with everything that Sidebar said!

And division is certainly the goal of the evil one, who I believe delights in Christian bickering. God is love.

NO self-respecting REAL Irish person drinks cabernet!!!
I worked with Irish from Ireland (bar owners) and bartenders from the old sod for years (and had four Irish grandparents - 3 from the old country) and I can say with sober confidence that cabernet was NOT and has never been their drink of choice.
Whatsa matta wit ya?

Jesus tells us that there are those that were not given eyes to see...so He is often missed in the midst of what looks like a stormI see lots to look at in the storm. I see I see people who are actually trying to say they can't speak of God or convince people of the truth without being rude to each other, Christian and not. I think it is human self-righteousness, not God, that loses its temper and good manners in here. And it is only the temper and good manners that anyone is trying to improve.
If you think arguing in here day and night over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin is your calling, so be it. I won't argue that I spend my time here better.... Although I think I ~could~.

True, but the alcohol content of native Nebraska wines is over 10%. If it became theology and wine we would all be asleep by the second glass. ;)
Hmm, maybe whiskey.... 8)

Excellent news, SM. It would be great to see less toleration for the gratuitous bashing on the main forum of a religion practiced successfully by a billion people, too. While we are at war against the extremists and militants who are misusing their religion as a political weapon against the West, there are many prideful people here who are not willing to heed the call of our own President regarding honoring Islam as a valid religion, and insist on broadcasting endless calumny instead.
