Prayer for the Helpless Unborn

Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil, those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life.

Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood.

Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image - as well as theirs - made for eternal life.

Dispel their fear and selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that a mother can give.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.

The Mass for Life was just telecast live from the National Cathedral. As always, it was a beautiful and moving celebration of life. The procession included Cardinals, Bishops, Priests from both the Western and Eastern Rites, Deacons ... it just went on and on.

EWTN is available on cable television or you can watch live, via the Internet. Click on the link posted above.

We have several freepers who will be marching tomorrow, along with their families. Please pray along with them for the end of abortion.

God Bless NYer

120 busses from Pennsylvania (Pitt)

3PM going off

Parade is the biggest in history and still going on. ON TV it looks like millions but as Marcus Grodi says, "The secular media would say 15,000 but it is 10 time that. Marcus does usual fine job. He is a holy man and the Church was fortunate to have him convert.

On TV it looked like 500,000. It made the St. Patrick's Day parade look small.

Pray for the unborn and their parents

President Bush telephoned a message to the people at noon time. Is he the first in 31 years to do so?

Three teenage high school girls were interviewed and it is sad to say that they said they were hasseled by some of their high school classmates for going. The said many are pro choice.

Let us pray for them and the Church.

Thanks for posting your comments! Thought I was the only one watching.

Marcus did an outstanding job as mc. The crowd was huge. Noticed this morning that NOTHING was mentioned on the news or the morning talk shows about the March for Life. Had this been the Million Mom March, the media would have been tripping over each other trying to make a group of 50 appear to be a crowd of 500,000. Will monitor the nightly news to see if anything is reported. God bless EWTN and Mother Angelica for providing us with the best network on cable!

How about that rabbi who tried to emulate Dr. Martin Luther King's style of delivering a speech. I nearly choked with laughter. The ecumenical AND international coverage was most impressive! The German, the Frenchman, the Metropolitan (was he Greek?), the Evangelical ... and how about all those parish banners! The college banners along with those from the high schools ... it was absolutely beautiful. And, I was quite surprised to learn that there are so many pro-life members of the House in Senate in this Administration.

It was all so enlightening! There are so many pro-life programs across this country that fill diverse niches - from driving a pregnant woman to have an ultra-sound to the grief counselors who work with women suffering the effects of their decision.

For years I have wanted to go and am now seriously considering doing so next year. Wouldn't it be great if we could round up a group of freepers and march under our own FreeRepublic banner!

I am starting a chapter of the Pennsylvania Pro Life Federation in the county I live in. I was supposed to be on a bus to Washington this AM but I have been battling the flu the last month.

PA ProLife is politically oriented and is inter denominational (non-religious though). My parish (new to me) has been luke warm but I think I can get some movement on their part.

Out goal is to get Twoomey to win a Republican primary.
