There just ain't that much to do at a Novus Ordo Mass.

Uh, since I was in first grade in the 70's, it was a Novus Ordo Mass. There were about 10-12 guys who served that night. Most of them were carrying torches, if I remember right.

And then there was Holy Saturday the year Father couldn't get the fire lit and the six eighth grade boys who were serving (all boy scouts) managed to get it lit for him.

There used to be a lot more to do in the Novus Ordo Mass, but that's not the point.
