I don't understand why the Vatican simply can't translate the Tridentine Rite into proper English (not New Living Bible English). If the Medieval Rites, which were replaced by the Tridentine, could be translated into respectable English (see Book of Common Prayer) so can the Tridentine.
I have heard rumors of Catholics experimenting with the 1928 BCP. The Orthodox are already occasionally sanctioning its use (mainly for congregations that convert to Orthodoxy as a whole).

Because the heresiarchs would be admitting defeat. It's more important to damn the innocent then reveal the guilty.
