Well, I never said this was an Aaamwaaaaay Convention - it is Trinitarian theology after all, and you may have to be believing or teaching some of these arguments in the not-too distant future!

I summarize the Filioque controversy for my RCIA classes in three minutes. Eyes glaze over, and I move on.

I always teach the Trinity through the words of Jesus. All of the debates of the Councils arguing over Trinitarian progression are beside the point if the catechumens understand Catholic teaching in the first place.

I haven't had two conversations in MY ENTIRE LIFE about the Trinity.
