| Ken Hamblin on the Rita Cosby Show

Did anyone else hear the ludricrous statements that Ken Hamblin made on Rita's show just now?
Among other things, he said that "Rush was given the keys to the kingdom and let us down."
Then he proceeded to puff himself up, making a total jackass out of himself as far as I'm concerned.
I videotaped the whole segment and would replay it and transcribe it, but have to run out for a while right now.

"I believe Rush will return in 30 days, stronger and better than he was before. The dems may think they have marginalized Rush .. I think they will make a big mistake if they believe that."
Agreed - 100%.

BUT at the street level this creates LOADS of serious problems for people like me who argue the conservative cause. Oh I get it. Since Rush is addicted to painkillers the entire conservative philosophy and movement is false, misleading and cannot be defended any longer.
What crap!!!!
Can we say the entire Democratic party are killers because of Teddy boy's (their senior mouthpiece) accident? Can we say they are all drunks because of Teddy boy's overindulgence of adult beverages? Can we say all Dems are racist pigs because Byrd was a member of the KKK??
As conservatives, we know better. The Dims do not!
I suggest throwing this kind of stuff right back in their faces.

The real reason they went after Rush is to make way for the Dimwits radio program this next year starring Al Frankenstein's Monster. They have to discredit him.
I figure Rush has some problems; but I am going to continue to listen to him.

Who is Ken Hamblin?Ken Hamblin is a conservative black radio talk show host from Denver who I really liked when I could get his station. I'm sorry to hear this kind of stuff coming from him. He has a really good way of telling ghetto blacks the reason for their failure and has been a valuable voice in the past.

Everyone who is attacking Rush is not looking at a timeline. Rush was berating drugs in a different time frame than when he had unsuccessful neck surgery to relieve pain. Chronic pain cannot be understood unless one has experienced it.
I had tendonitis in my arms for about five years. Nobody could even tap my arm with a finger or I'd have an immediate EXCRUCIATING PAIN and scream. I would ask people to not come near me.
Has Ken Hamblin ever experienced excruciating pain? I doubt it.

A lot of "journalist" types are probably bitter because they're mediocre tv/radio talking heads who keep getting overshadowed by people like Rush because they don't understand him and his message. It's both ideological and personal.
To: Matchett-PI
See my last, I think #206 or so. The detractors are taking liberties with the chronology of Rush's comments and when he became another one of the walking wounded, living every day with chronic pain. Chronic pain is very exhausting as well. Painful body parts weigh a ton to drag around.

In #203, you were replying to me as if I was the one who made this remark:
"BUT at the street level this creates LOADS of serious problems for people like me who argue the conservative cause."I DID NOT MAKE THAT REMARK, someone else made it. Please ping the person to whom you were replying, will you? Thanks!

Rita Crosby was totally into the interview, at the ready to bash Rush along with Hamblin. Guess Rita Cosby has an opinion show, not a news show?

It's true, he did let people down, especially with his statement on Friday, which had Roy Black all over it.It was a nonsense, and if it means Rush has to lie to stay out of jail, well, that's what he will do.If he loses his fans, it is better than doing time.
I wish freepers would be less credulous and more circumspect when they read that statement, or what else has been revealed by the NE.

Very well-written letter Joe. I emailed Rush my support also. He deserves nothing but the best from us.

The reply was not meant towards you. I realize you did not make that remark. However, while scrolling through the posts that was the first I saw that line. So, it was a general response to all the ignorant libs and lib lovers.
I DID NOT MAKE THAT REMARK
Wow, watch the caffiene in the morning!
To: Mad_Tom_Rackham
IMO he has attacked Rush because of the ESPN incident Hamlin defended Rush adamently on the ESPN issue.

To me, he was piling on.
Rush was conservative on radio, when it wasn't cool to be conservative.

Nobody, but nobody, expected Rush to be "perfect." We are talking about someone who probably violated the law in a major way by using illegal drugs but yet supports tossing other illegal users in the clinker. That is light years from "perfect." You have set up a straw man.
To: floriduh voter
I was amazed she could turn away from the Kobe Bryant long enough for the Hamblin segment.
She scared the bejeebers out of me the night of the Supreme Court decision, when she misunderstand the decision, and declared that Gore had won.Thought I was going to need the defibrillator for sure.
Since then, I can't really listen to her.

Apologies sent, LJ. I comletely screwed up, mixing my response to a different poster with you. I went back and read your earlier post, and I can see that you ARE a libertarian after all. To a degree, so am I (Jeffersonian Constitiutional Conservative libertarian). Anyway, sorry for the screw up. And I could almost agree with your position on WOD. :O)
To: twittle
Indeed. I stand corrected then. Thanks.
