"but the housekeeper and her husband received immunity with their statements to the police."

That doesn't mean they got immunity for giving info on Rush to the Police - it could just mean that they got it for giving info on the dealers.

"is the possibility that oxicontin (?) causes deafness and that Rush may have caused his own deafness by taking up to 30 or so pills a day."

Isn't 30 oxycontin pills MORE than enough to kill a grown man? - It CERTAINLY would make him incapable of doing his radio show at a MINIMUM.

I listen to Rush at my office for years, and he is ALWAYS lucid and sharp, if he were EVER taking 30 oxycontin pills a day it would be VERY obvious that he was mentally incapacitated.

Someone who had never taken them before would die if they took 30 pills.

Addicts build up tolerance to opiates over time, taking more and more to get the same effect.

Thus an addict will be doing a LOT of pills, and a number of pills that would kill a person who had never taken them before.

And all addicts to all illegal drugs aren't INSTANTLY non-functional wastoids (I sense this is a result of government WOD propaganda that would have you believe one joint will ruin your entire life, etc.)

Especially with opiates, addicts can seem pretty normal for years.

Rush's new radio contract was just a smoke screen for Rush's activities as a drug dealer. Rush wasn't taking 30 pills a day; he was taking a few of them and trafficking the rest of them to the Queen of England. < /Lyndon LaRoach >

That was one of the issues Walker answered. He said medical experts said it is possible for a man to take that much because if taken in a gradual build up, your body will be able to tolerate more and hence, the need for higher doses in order to feel an effect.

I know a little bit about Oxycontin. I am fairly certain, if he was taking that many, even the 10mg, he would be either dead or at the very least, hospitalized. No way could he do a show.

I also think ,if he had been to detox twice, someone would have told before now. Rush has alot of enemies, along with alot of friends. Any liberal that worked at the detox place would have immediately told. It all sounds way to far fetched to me.

I had to take oxycontin and hydrocodone a couple of years ago after surgery. I took 4 to 6 a day and I was drowsy, had slurred speech and in no condition to even read a book. There is no way I could have talked on the radio for 3 hours without the whole country thinking I was drunk at the very least. Nor, could I have done ANY of the prep necessary to do a show like Rush does every day.

I think Rush is innocent.

get a tap recorder and drink the equivilant in booze
and then tape yourself reading the Declaration of Independence
see if your speech is slightly slurred
I cannot picture Rush taking that many pills and doing his show let alone writing or doing
as much research as he surely does..
Without a whole lotta napping going on

The other day the opposition was alledging 66 pills a day. As you say, even 30 pills a day is ludicrous. The credibility of the those making the charge has trouble with the smell test.

I agree. Perhaps he was buying them and was making money pushing them to space aliens. I couldn't blame him for that.
