So if the law said that you must give up your first child to the government for military purposes, but were allowed to keep the rest, and this became law, would you feel the same? The only reason you feel this way is because you don't smoke pot I assume. That is a copout at best, "follow the law" my rump. That is a lame excuse to blame others and meddle in thier life. Your neighbor smoking pot effects you in no way the same as another neighbor drinking a beer. But it's a way for you to judge. Follow the law when it effects others, but not when it is harming noone but yourself. Self responsibility is the key. Vis-a-vis Chong's celebrity, its relevant because it will be part of his appeal. The other defendants who plead guilty to the same offense were sentenced to house arrest. Chong is the only one to draw prison time. The statements of dickhead U.S. Attorney will come back to haunt her.

If they're not illegal to own where you are, then no. If they are, then you should move or work to change the law where you are.

Equating the advocation of basic human and civil rights with smoking marijuana is shameful. Dopers are not equivalent to those who fought for civil rights. They are not linked in any way. Rosa Parks and those who fought for civil rights did what they did because they believed what the Constitution says about the freedom of all Americans. saw an injustice in the law of the day, and worked to change the law. Marijuana smokers do what they do because they want to get high and don't care that they are breaking the law.
