A New Creation (leaving a homosexual life)

A New Creation...by Cedric Hunt

In the life of IFI member, Clint Price, the power of God's Word has cut away the filthy garments of what was once a desired homosexual lifestyle. He's been changed from a queen to a king. Transformed from a lifetime of deceptive lies of believing he was a woman into a son of the Most High God. Kingship!

“Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” 2 Cor 5:17 (KJV)

Clint claims this verse daily as he walks in the newness of life afforded him by a community set apart from KDOC’s normal. Clint says, “God has seen me through a lot in the last eight months, but that’s my God.”

Satan had trapped Clint in a homosexual lifestyle for more than 15 years. Strongholds of rejection, doubt, and fear kept him in bondage serving needs that even to this day Clint finds hard to believe. “Some might think that my sin is worse than others, but God has given me the understanding that we all have believed different satanic lies that equal sin in our lives. Some of us have addictions, others struggle with violence but all are abominations to a Holy God,” said Clint.

These lies begin when Clint was a very young man. Never having been very athletic, Clint found himself more comfortable in the company of girls, which seemed to be less competitive. Soon he took on feminine attributes and began to look at other men for qualities he himself lacked. Jocks, gang bangers or masculine figures are the guys he became attracted to. Sagging pants and broad chest seemed to be the source that he could live out his inadequacies through.

The sad truth is that other men were willing to play upon those inadequate feelings in Clint and exploit the lies that Satan was telling him. He himself became a victim. He gave far too much for all the wrong reasons and definitely to the wrong people. He became a sex-a-holic and found himself doing anything to get a fix. That led him to criminal activity and prison.

It was in prison that all inhibition was cast aside. In this atmosphere many embraced the idea that Clint felt feminine and were happy to further exploit those feelings. Shaved legs, arched eyebrows, and sexual favors soon became a prison within a prison and no one had the keys. Clint suffered physical and sexual abuse in this environment; but they could never compare to the psychological or spiritual abuse felt not only by Clint but his parents also.

Behind the walls of Hutchinson Correctional Facility this young man perhaps for the first time in his life felt accepted as one of the queens of a prison run. You can’t begin to realize the depth of what that means. “A lie that is so consuming that it even draws in a large percent of the people you come in contact with. Other people begin to see you as feminine. They refer to you as her and she,” Clint said. Arched eyebrows and shaved bodies are merely an outward manifestation of a much deeper inward spiritual problem.

God’s Grace made it possible for Clint to escape the walls of a maximum facility with its ignominious demands to a different but equally demanding community of IFI. The demands here require sincerity, integrity and sanctification as the Holy Spirit strips us of the different masks that have been our defenses for years.

God’s divine providence exposed issues in Clint’s life that led he and I to become covenant brothers. I told Clint that if he were serious about Christ I would stand by him whenever and wherever until he had victory over his homosexual lifestyle. Weeks after that, his walk was completely different. Shortly thereafter, Clint asked that I baptize him and Director Don Raymond made the provisions.

His parents recently wrote telling him that they noticed both physical and spiritual healing taking place in his life as God restores what the adversary had stolen. Clint’s countenance has changed to the bright look of an individual anchored in Christ. His physical walk and appearance are different. For the first time in his life, Clint is in the gym working out and feeling good about his manhood. He is more excited about the changes that God is making. Anticipating new opportunities, like having never experienced a relationship with a woman at anytime in 28 years of living. Clint says, “God is getting me prepared for stewardship with a wife and children.

Now God has given Clint a serious ministry helping other men find freedom from the darkness of homosexuality. Several have come to him asking about his victory. “Did my past disappear? No, but God has given me ‘Christ esteem’ and a bright outlook for the future that out weighs my past,” said Clint. For many of us our success or failure lie waiting at the door; beyond the concrete walls, razor wire and fences. The greatest temptation is yet to come, but for Clint, it is reality now. God has given him freedom in the same environment that once held him captive.

Today he is a new creation!

Some of you in the past have asked for information on those who leave homosexuality. Here is a young man with a story to tell and I am sure he would welcome help to tell his story.

Post this on your church bulletin boards (especially the liberal churches)

May GOD bless him!

Turning from sin is not easy, and making the change required is an uphill battle sometimes. Good luck Clint.

"And come on, working out at a gym will help you go straight?"

I didn't read the article as indicating this is why he is going straight but that he can now work out at the gym and feel good about being a man.

Working out in a gym, maybe not. But God put something in his life that allowed him to become focused on something other than sodomy. And if what you say is true, this may allow the young man to witness to others that have been caught by this sin

"only ~hopes~ that he'll be able to get involved in a heterosexual relationship. I have my doubts."

No, those are your words, his are:

“God is getting me prepared for stewardship with a wife and children.

I AM NOT SURE WHY YOU ARE SO FOCUSED ON THE GYM ASPECT OF THE STORY, THERE IS A LOT MORE THERE.

Your have your doubts, I have my hope. I have seen changed men in prison through this program. No it is not going to be easy, and yes some do fall by the wayside........It is going to take a lot of good people like you and me helping him.

When they get out of prison, without support, they go back to their own ways.

A young man I mentored with lost his leg to cancer in prison, was going through chemotherapy just out of prison. Could not get a job because he had a $1,000 lien on his drivers license. Obviously things were tough financially. In desperation he said to me, "you know I could solve my money problems tomorrow by dealing drugs again." It was not a threat or manipulation, but desperation. HOW MUCH IS A SOUL WORTH?, I gave him the $1,000 to go get his license, figured this was a better investment than new pews at church. He's done well and is an inspiration to me.

I see you are a libertarian and probably want less government. Having less government means we are going to have to get more involved in our local communities helping others on a one to one basis.

You have your doubts but I challenge you to go visit the program and to visit him and then I would like to know what you think.

The point of the article (lest it get buried in the fluff around here) is that Christ heals sinners. If a sinner...any sinner... accepts Jesus as his Lord and Savior, then his sins are forgiven and a healing process begins.

The Blood of Christ is so powerful, it can even cure homosexuality, which has long been mistaken by science and academia for a lifelong condition instead of being seen for what it is. Like all sin, it is a symptom of a disease of the spirit; of a life lived without God's Son and God's Word.

"I'd be willing to bet that's he's going to start noticing other men in very good physical shape and will either give in or consider a trip to the gym a form of torture."

That's because you have apparently never personally experienced the miracle of being made new in Jesus Christ. You're interpreting this from a narrow human perspective.

The subject of this article has been made new in Christ Jesus, crucified and risen again to defeat sin and death forever. Maybe one day you'll want the very best for yourself that life can offer you.

If that day comes, Jesus will be waiting for you. I personally committed myself to Jesus 6 years ago, and I can't possibly put into words the miracle of His Salvation, but I know it is as real as is the fact that I'm posting now on FreeRepublic.

May God bless you.

Not trying to bait you and not trying to argue with you but I am curious as to where you do draw the line as to what is bad and immoral.

I know. I pray that one day you do. Whether you know Him or not, He loved you enough to be tortured to death for you, so that your sins could be forgiven.

No greater love hath any man but that he should lay down his life for his friends. Jesus laid down His life even for those who hate Him. Such love is only found in one Man, and He is Christ Jesus. The same yesterday, today, and forever.
