Race-mongering Surprise
10/8/03

An lucid explanation, please, on CA voters choosing Schwarzenegger by a huge margin while at the same time choosing to keep pimping for race-mongers by defeating the prop to end collection of racial data. There seems to be quite a disconnect here...

Well... As we've all discussed, Arnold is more socially liberal than he is socially conservative. That appealed to the minorities, so many voted for him (50% of voting hispanics). They are probably thinking they got their cake, and could eat it too, because they voted in the guy they wanted, and were also able to vote down that measure at the same time. Best of both worlds... in my opinion.

I'd like an explination on why dims in the Gay Bay area constantly bemoan alleged "discrimination" against gays yet gladly vote for cruz bustamante, the hispanic supremacist whose group motto is, "For the race, all. For outside the race, nothing".

(My vote helped defeat bustamante. Did yours?)

It's the same state that voted in a full slate of Dems last November.

Usually it's the other way around. California frequently votes to the right on propositions (e.g., 187 and 209) and to the left on candidates. They can read the propositions and know what they are going to get; but they know nothing about the candidates except what the liberal media tells them. My theory is that this allows candidates to successfully run to the left of their constituents.
