The Seething Hatred of Leftists
Democratic Underground | Oct. 8, 2003

Posted on 10/08/2003 8:17:32 AM PDT by tdadams

In the wake of the California recall, and numerous other Democratic defeats recently, one of the most interesting morning-after spectacles has been the reaction of Democrats and other leftists. Take a look at an excerpt I found on Democratic Underground this morning. Isn't there something a little discordant about this person's rhetoric, being that leftists portray themselves as the most kind, compassionate, gentle, feeling, and caring people in the world?

Surely, something's amiss. Read closely. These are the people who want to rule America.

From DU:

I am truly amazed by the result of the California election.

30000+ "activists" on this forum, and thousands of others on many other liberal American forums, powerful and compelling talk show hosts as Mike Malloy, Peter Werbe, Thom Hartman, Nancy Skinner, Bernie Ward, Guy James, etc., absolutely great web sites as Moveon.org, Buzzflash.com, CommonDreams.org, Bartcop.com., Truthout.com, powerful writers and authors as David Corn, Michael Moore, finding their expression in The Nation and The Guardian besides their books and films, absolutely phenomenal researchers as Bev Harris, etc., and yet the Bush Crime Family and its cabal of crooks stays well entrenched in power, aided and abetted by wimpy Democratic Congressmen and Senators, while to top that, a Republican Nazi-admiring female groper and molester gets elected as Governor of California!

Now I firmly believe that the "Archie Bunker" syndrome is not an exception but the real heart and soul of modern America.

It is in that frame of mind that many around the world (not Muslims, alone) wake up every single morning eagerly hoping to see that more Americans are killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, and anywhere else they are spreading their foul hegemony (as now in Venezuela).

We do not support "your troops". We have no reason to "support" the actions of gun-toting killers of innocent people.

Till then many wait, hope and fervently pray to their many Gods that more and more Americans (and it may be your father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, husband, wife, cousin, uncle, aunt, friend, lover) are killed in conflicts they have wrought on the rest of the world in the false name of "Democracy".

"a female groper...gets elected"

If that is true, I guess it was made possible by all of the Clinton lovers who decided that type of behavior and worse was perfectly acceptable and should never raise any eyebrows. 'Guess they might have got what they clamored for in a leader.

If I could start systematically eliminating liberals from America, I would.

This might help explain their nuttiness:

The people who voted in the Gropinator have just solidified Californians' reputation for being "fruits nuts and flakes" ( don't get on my case for saying that; I'm not only Californian by birth, I'm also gay, bipolar and have trouble making commitments -- a DU contributor.

I'd have used another word than 'eliminating', but that might have gotten me suspended.

He apparently forgot to mention his hemerrhoids, drinking problem, and two pack a day smoking habit.

Well....it's not like we don't have our own fruitcakes over here...

Agree, but they don't usually long for the destruction of the USA.

Here's a great new thread over there by "DerekG":

This has been bothering me for several weeks. I always believed that the reason why more people don't vote in presidential elections is because both Democrat and Republican candidates are bearly distinguishable from each other (Carter/Ford, Clinton/Dole, Gore/Bush), but HOW IN THE HELL did a moral man like McGovern, who was probably the last liberal Democrat to run, lose so [GD] badly to Richard Nixon? I wasn't born until 1982, so I'm asking others: Weren't there enough Americans who cared about the direction the country was headed to get their ass out and vote?

I love it. :) This is along the lines of Pauline Kael saying nobody -she- knew voted for Reagan so how the hell did he get elected?

Some of these have to be put-ons. Nobody can be as dumb as they appear.

Diatribes like his strengthen my resolve. I'm homeschooling my kids, keeping them as far away from hateful people like him for as long as possible. You have to protect yourself from his brand of nuttiness. I don't think Schwarzenegger is going to save California but it's awesome that the message was sent and that this guy is "truly amazed" we threw the Doofus bum out yesterday.

This is exactly the kind of talk that won the election for the Republican candidate. I think any Republican would have won, so long as it wasn't another Clinton cronie, look-alike, or act-alike. My theory is that it wasn't the car tax (although surely that played some part in it) or any other policy. I think it was just being fed up with the kind of politics the Clinton crowd always plays. Dems better wise up fast--or better yet, just keep up the good work, guys, and you'll be out of power for decades.

Be careful Laz, eliminating a whole sect of people based on political leanings wouldnt gain sympathy for our cause. I would rather just see them flail and fail like the nincompoops they are.

This guy, who wants all our soldiers to die, is all bark. Total pu$$y without a clue.

Wrong, many are actually worse - they're evil too.

I visited DU last night for the first time. There was a picture of Bush that rotated to a picture of the devil. The DUer had a tagline which was a quote from Uday Hussein.
