The Seething Hatred of Leftists
Democratic Underground
| Oct. 8, 2003

In the wake of the California recall, and numerous other Democratic defeats recently, one of the most interesting morning-after spectacles has been the reaction of Democrats and other leftists. Take a look at an excerpt I found on Democratic Underground this morning. Isn't there something a little discordant about this person's rhetoric, being that leftists portray themselves as the most kind, compassionate, gentle, feeling, and caring people in the world?
Surely, something's amiss. Read closely. These are the people who want to rule America.
From DU:
I am truly amazed by the result of the California election.
30000+ "activists" on this forum, and thousands of others on many other liberal American forums, powerful and compelling talk show hosts as Mike Malloy, Peter Werbe, Thom Hartman, Nancy Skinner, Bernie Ward, Guy James, etc., absolutely great web sites as Moveon.org, Buzzflash.com, CommonDreams.org, Bartcop.com., Truthout.com, powerful writers and authors as David Corn, Michael Moore, finding their expression in The Nation and The Guardian besides their books and films, absolutely phenomenal researchers as Bev Harris, etc., and yet the Bush Crime Family and its cabal of crooks stays well entrenched in power, aided and abetted by wimpy Democratic Congressmen and Senators, while to top that, a Republican Nazi-admiring female groper and molester gets elected as Governor of California!
Now I firmly believe that the "Archie Bunker" syndrome is not an exception but the real heart and soul of modern America.
It is in that frame of mind that many around the world (not Muslims, alone) wake up every single morning eagerly hoping to see that more Americans are killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, and anywhere else they are spreading their foul hegemony (as now in Venezuela).
We do not support "your troops". We have no reason to "support" the actions of gun-toting killers of innocent people.
Till then many wait, hope and fervently pray to their many Gods that more and more Americans (and it may be your father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, husband, wife, cousin, uncle, aunt, friend, lover) are killed in conflicts they have wrought on the rest of the world in the false name of "Democracy".

Well their server consists of a hamster wheel and some tin cans. They can't handle more than 100 active posters. 30,000 members my ass. They probably just got 30,000 hits from Rush fans and it totally blew out their hamster wheel.
To: finnman69
"Rush just crashed their site by mentioning DU...LOL"
And when it comes back up they will yell and scream that it was some kind of organized plot to silence them.

It can be said for the democratic party too.

As Rush is pointing out, the Dems are using this landlside loss as a loss for BUSH. I've noticed the talking points and every Democrat is using this election as if it were a referndum against Bush. Boy...the dems have a sense of humor; they could've either voted againt the recall or elected a democrat. Yet, they swept a fiscal conservative into office...a conservative who speaks as Bush does. And as they try to portray Arnold as not a real Republican because of his liberal social positions, the fact remains that the heart of Republcanism is limited government and fiscal responsibility. These idiots just don't get it.

I have been thinking that the collective yawn over the groping allegations is the real Clinton legacy.

You know, I know exactly what to expect from these slugs, but my jaw still drops in horror as I read words like this from Americans.

And there we have the root of their problem

For people who have never been to DU, if you ever see a post mentioning Barbra Olson's name, don't read any further.I haven't been over to DU since the 2000 election, but I just tried right now, to no avail.
Do they really stoop that low to degrade Barbara Olson? She was one of my favorite authors and conservatives. Hell To Pay (about Hitlery) and The Final Days (the end of the Clinton presidency) both are excellent books.
Rest In Peace Barbara.

No mention of Free Republic. He did make a general statement about the outrageous rhetoric on the DU (and warned you don't want to go there).

powerful and compelling talk show hosts as Mike Malloy, Peter Werbe, Thom Hartman, Nancy Skinner, Bernie Ward, Guy James, etc.Does anybody recognize any of these talk show hosts. The only one that I'm familiar with is Mr. Etc.
Years ago before KSFO (and KNEW), the main Bay Area talk radio was KGO. It carried both sides. (The conservatives were later spun off as a separate station, KSFO, but still under the same management.) Bernie Ward was KGO's lead leftist talk show host and even referred to himself as "The Lion of the Left" (just after the Republican takeover of Congress). Lee Rodgers was also on KGO at that time and, as I recall, had regularly scheduled debates with him. Ward also hosted a peculiar Sunday morning show called "God Talk". I say "peculiar" because he is an example of a curious breed that could be called the "Religious Left" who try to use religion to justify socialism.
As far as I know, he's probably still there.
(The Lee Rodgers/Melanie Morgan show on KSFO is where the recall effort seems to have gotten started, at least in Northern California.)

I love the posters who use Communists celebrities like Marx or Che Guvera as their avatars. Thankfully such hateful images would not be tolerated here.
To any media lurkers: DU is far more extreme than this forum. Just read both for a while and you'll be shocked at some of the violent and racist things you'll hear over there.
