Obviously the class you displayed on the air represents the best conservatives have to offer. It's to your credit that you rose above the mudslinging tactics of Gary Davis, and even of some on this thread.

I understand your passion, but McClintock will not be rewarded in the future ever for dividing the Republican vote this election.
If on one level he didn't spoil the election, for sure on another he stopped a needed over-whelming mandate for Arnold that could have helped him with govern CA easier.

If Tom is a bad sport, STILL(!) nobody wants him around when there is a job to do. I had work to do today so didn't have time to listen to radion on a consistent basis.
From what I heard, in the past, Tom can't work with anybody.

Some of us wanted McClintock, some of us wanted Schwarzenegger. I voted for Tom, but we all wanted Davis gone and for Bustamante to keep his old job. That's what's happening today. Why would I want to go call Hugh and spoil what should be a springboard to goodwill between the factions? It's taking both Schwarzenegger and McClintock voters to Dump Davis, so I'm just enjoying the moment. Well said ... this is a great day for California on the climb back from the abyss of leftist monopoly power.

Weren't you one of the freepers bellowing about McClintock dropping out so Arnold would be able to beat Bustamante?
If so you were wrong then and you're wrong now. If you'd like, I'll explain why.

No sense in getting down in the mud with some of these folks. I don't regret my support for McClintock, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate Arnold ousting Davis. And it doesn't mean I won't hope that Arnold follows the conservative path and has great success during his administration.

I think you're underestimating how this is going to play. It's a watershed, probably bigger than Proposition #13. A resounding defeat for the Dems and a huge win for all Republicans. We're going to take more than 60% of the vote in liberal la la California. Think about that. This will change the political landscape in California and the rest of the country for decades.

Nor I. I live in CT and stayed out of the AS-TM wars. No dog in the fight so to speak, but even from Ct I could see that Arnold would win with or without McClintock in the race so I couldn't understand what all the animus was about.

I thought I had posted my last note a few hours ago.! Here I am again! You are SO WRONG. It is NEVER wrong for a person to stand up for their convictions and stay the course. Sean Hannity said the same today. He will come out a winner for Conservatism LONG after Arnold has left his position, should he win.!!

Which was so contrary to everything you WERE saying regarding Arnold and his effect. I've got to go for a bit, but when did this revelation hit you and why could you not see this weeks ago?

I think it may be closer to 75% when you add McClintock and Swartzenegger together, which is astonishing. The best part is that you will never hear any democrat whisper "President Davis", anywhere, anytime, ever again. The worst part, is that it will take Arnold and crew a long time to repair the damage, even if the Legislature bows down and they do everthing right.
It will be a tough challenge.
