Why presume the worst and call the dead idiots?

The poor folks may not be as naive as that California lady who went swimming with
the seals (I'm sure it was a spiritual experience while it lasted), but got herself
killed by a great white shark that probably confused her for food (the seals she was with).

But the sad truth is being from Malibu, CA, they probably didn't have a firearm.

From all the stories I've heard about "wildlife", I've decided to just about
not camp in bear or cougar country in a tent, unless I'm really ready to meet my Maker.

Malibu is like NYC in that most who live there came from somewhere else. Look at where these two decided to spend their $$$ camping. We have absolutely no way of determining how prepared or capable they were or were not based on this article. I'd rather not presume that they were killed because they were idiots...it seems too small.
