I agree 100%. I'm still curious if Wilson got any kind of kickback during his visit. I think eventually we will hear some criticisms about the visit directly from Africa...

Where can we find the Plame/Hillary connection?

Anomaly Number 3: Why was Wilson's verbal report apparently taken at face value? No intelligence professional should have relied on it.

Was it taped? If not, are we expected to rely on someone's recollection of this non-report?

Wilson knowns if he gets investigated, the RAT hate machine will cry "political persecution". The talk of him being sophisticated, dedicated, on the short list for Secretary of State for 04 RAT candidates, savvy, etc., appears to be an effort to elevate him above the fray he helped create.

Wilson a Democrat?

Where is your evidence!

Wilson worked for Bill Clinton?

Wilson seems to be a nice fellow on TV!

Wilson is writing a really interesting book now....

Tenet placed no value on his report.

This whole thing was a tripwire set up by the rats, Foley, Plame, Wilson, ? to try and embarrass or electronically lynch our president.

Remember Yellowcake 1? The entire basis of that scam was based on Wilson's so called info trip to Niger. He probably shacked up with Whores while drinking Mint Tea for his entire trip over there.

Like I said, I'm betting the real details of the trip come from Africa, not Washington. Some warlord turned ally, or some defector, or some crook caught and made to squeal, who knows.

"I can't deny that the pressures of the past few months have not weighed heavily in my mind, but there are many other aspects to my decision, not the least of which is that I'm intrigued by the prospect of trying my hand at a second career in the private sector,"

I think he has been in DC too long. Does this even make any sense? "He cannot deny that the pressures..have not weighed heavily."

Here is the connection as I see it so far. I am missing a few dots here tying this to the Clintons.

Clintons --> ?? --> Foley --> Plame --> Wilson

Is Foley/Plame/Wilson connected to Clintons in a way other than being an appointee or making campaign contributions?

These anomalies are the real story. Why the press is not pursuing them is obvious. Rest assured though that Ashcroft, Rove and Bush know the answers to all of these questions and if they don't, then it should be a clear signal to them that Tenet should be fired. This whole affair is a test of Tenet's loyalty, especially if it is true as many of us suspect, that Wilson, Plame and Foley were running a politcal operation out of the CIA. Tenet has all the resources of the CIA at his disposal and Ashcroft all the resources of the FBI, to investigate Wilson, Plame and Foley. BTW it would not surprise me, if it turns out that Alan Foley is related to former Speaker of the House, Thomas Foley, who Wilson worked for as a politcal adviser.

... come back and bite him/her/them on the butt? Big time..

Yes indeed! That's why they're already beginning to backpedal nervously. They screamed and howled for an investigation, but after Bush simply agreed to it and ordered the Justice Dept. to go ahead, seal papers and correspondence, etc., things changed.

Yesterday, the Times was outraged because some reporters were being "intimidated" by having the FBI seize e-mails sent to them. Hey, that's how an investigation works.

Nobody was "initimdating" them, but if the files at the Government end are going to be seized, obviously it's going to point in their direction. And while the reporters are not subject to prosecution, whoever sent those e-mails is.

The whole point of this was simply to cause a commotion that would make people begin to doubt everything Bush has ever said about anything, just more of what the Dems have spent the entire summer doing. But I think maybe, just maybe, Wilson & Co. overplayed their hand.

Standard CIA leaving under a future cloud remarks.

He is a captive of the beltway and the inner politics of a left wing CIA. He probably still lives in a pre 9/11 world that many in DC live in.

Wilson was on Clintoon's second term's National Security Council. He was his so called ambassador to Africa (how can someone be an ambassador to a continent and not countries?).

Wilson was the main planner and architect of the very expensive Africa Trip by the Clintoons. I'm sure that his wife went on this trip.

Whenever, the left wing mediots tell about his past, they all ways talk about his position with Bush I. They never talk about his positions with the Clintoons in their second term as Ambassador to Africa and his role on Clintoons National In/Security Council.

Someone on the NRO "Corner" recently asked the very sensible question re: Wilson's wife: Even if she were a CIA operative, she still had a "Cover." THAT'S WHY ALL SUCH AGENTS UNDER COVER--so that, if an accusation is leveled that the person is a CIA agent, the person can point to a legitimate employer etc. So the question is: why didn't the CIA use the Cover???
