Anomaly Number 3: Why was Wilson's verbal report apparently taken at face value? No intelligence professional should have relied on it.

Wilson knowns if he gets investigated, the RAT hate machine will cry "political persecution". The talk of him being sophisticated, dedicated, on the short list for Secretary of State for 04 RAT candidates, savvy, etc., appears to be an effort to elevate him above the fray he helped create.
