Believe J.C. is the ONE Republican candidate that can defeat Carson -- just think we actually might get Pres Bush into OK to campaign during the general election if J.C. would run.
J.C. running would put new spark into the OK Republican Party which needs some energy IMHO!

Dissing Oklahoma are you? I have lived on both coasts and in the Middle of the Country (Ohio, Texas, and Oklahoma) and there is no better place to live in America than Norman, Oklahoma, which just happens to be the home of J.C. Watts. There is not a friendlier place to live, our weather is great -- longs springs and falls -- some snow -- and low humidity when it gets hot.
Would put Norman, OK, up with anyplace in this Country -- first class University with a first class President in David Boren who has headed OU during the fundraising drive that has brought in over $700 million to build new facilities and upgrade others all over the University of Oklahoma.
Norman is a great place to live with a public school system second to none and a city on the move! We have Lake Thunderbird on the east edge of town with hills.
Not even close to what you have seen in the movie Oklahoma -- you know why I know -- I said the same thing when I heard our family was being transferred to Oklahoma. Then my kids and I came to Oklahoma for a house hunting trip and fell in love with Norman the minute my son put his foot down on the grass at Owen Field on the OU campus. We walked around the campus which I believe is one of the most beautiful in America!
When you diss someplace, it would pay you to have been there!

According to our paper Lott promised Nickles in 1998 if he wouldn't challenge him for Majority Leader, he (Lott) would step aside in 2000 to allow Nickles to become Majority Leader. We all know what happened with that -- Lott held a hurry-up vote, we lost Jeffords to the RATs (still think Lott helped that along), and then the debacle happened.
Believe with you with Nickles in charge we would have had the judges confirmed. You don't mess with Don Nickles which is why Lott refused to bring Nickles as the #2 in the Senate with him to negotiate the budget deal with Clinton.
My opinion of Lott -- not much!

Well, being someone who associates basically everthing with food, I've been to Oklahoma three times. The first time, I had an entire pitcher of iced tea spilled in my lap as I sat down for a lunch meeting with some important business associates. The second time, I ordered a baked potato that took 30 minutes instead of the promised 5 at a fast food place, and it turned into this big ruckus where the guy at the register was spot-fired, and I never got my baked potato. The third time, I ordered a KFC meal and asked them to leave out the second side dish because I only wanted coleslaw. Had to explain it s-l-o-w-l-y three or four times, and I think the gal behind the counter was about to have a short-circuit in her brain.
Granted, that all this has to do with food....but then, what doesn't? But, I'll admit that the area around Lake Texhoma may well be God's Country, but as for the rest of it.......
