(Talon News) -- Anheuser-Busch, the brewer of Budweiser beer, is sponsoring a taped telephone ad urging voters to "vote NO on recall, YES on Bustamante." The speaker on the recording identifies himself as former Vice President Al Gore.
First reported by Mickey Kaus on Slate.com, the message begins with the former vice president urging voters to vote no on the recall.
"Gray Davis has been a solid progressive governor and deserves to finish out his term," Gore says in the telephone message. "We simply cannot let the right wing Republicans roll back the progress California has been making under Governor Davis."
Former Vice President Gore stresses that it is "very important" to "vote no on the recall."
"Also, as insurance against a strong pro-recall turnout, and to keep a Democrat in the governor's office, continue on the ballot and vote "yes" for Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante to keep the governorship in Democratic hands," Gore adds on the phone message.
The former vice president continues, "So remember, vote no on the recall, and then vote for Cruz Bustamante, who is located on your ballot under the letter 'B.' Thank you."
Following the message from Gore, a woman's voice continues by saying, "Paid for by Progressive Democrats and Independents against the recall. Major funding by Anheuser-Busch."
A call from Talon News to the Anheuser-Busch corporate headquarters was not returned, despite the assurance of the person taking the message that Jim Schwartz would do so.

Haven't bought a Bud since they sponsored "Gay Days" in St. Louis and had an ad with two homosexuals holding hands under a rainbow. That's disgusting.

I honestly cannot believe this to be true. (The part about Bud funding it I mean). Rationally, why would Bud do it. They knew it would get out, and hurt sales, and possibly by quite a lot, considering the hatred of Davis.

" Liberals call what's going on in California "progress." High taxes, businesses fleeing, rampant illegal immigration, deficits..."Liberal progress"!!!"
That's why they call themselves progressives. They do that s--t on purpose.

I e-mailed them and asked them why they would do this. Very peculiar.

Okay, I'm stretching the definition of "media" here, and they haven't confirmed they're doing this, but they haven't denied it either. You ought to be aware of what Budweiser is accused of doing. If they ever respond and deny, I'll ping you to that as well.

Tetley is a good UK beer that I drink. It's available in many supermarkets.
After returning from Eastern Europe two weeks ago, I ordered a case of Okecim beer brewed in Poland. It's expensive here, but is excellent.

We've got a micro-brewery here in Longmont, Colorado called the Left-Hand Brewery and man they are the best. Their Stouts and Porters are killer although pricey. To be precise, Bud is not Piss-water. It's Yeast Piss and it's made from RICE because it's cheap. You ever wonder why Miller is in clear bottles? Because it has preservatives in it so it won't go bad. "And the Lord said, "Go thou and hurt not the beer, yea, upon thy immortal soul adulterate it not! For whosover shall cause his brothers to drink foulness shall burn in hell forevever." Dan 12:14.

HEB has a fine selection of German, English and Irish beers.
Pinkies also has a good selection at certain stores.

Dang! Now I have to quit buying Bud. The Coors family have been huge contributors to Republican political campaigns. Especially the late Joe Coors with Reagan. They also established and funded The Heritage Foundation.

Anheuser- Busch does not own the distributorships. They are franchises. As an example, Mr. Diversity (Jesse) blackmailed Anheuser-Busch into selling the Chicago distributorship to (what a coincidence) someone named Jackson for one millions dollars. This happened about 10 - 15 years ago. That distributorship was probably worth 50 million at the time. The person who "bought" the distributorship happens to be Jesse's son!
