To those critics of Maria:

Well ya know what, she stood by her husband. She actively campaigned for him, and it wasn't a Carville-Matalin thing, I never heard her undercut him on a political matter. From everything I've seen, she is a good mother. And why do so many assume that the Kennedy-Shriver side will pull Arnold to the left, ever consider that maybe he is pulling them to the right?

I hope that right now we will all give Maria a clean slate, and see what happens. She can be a great asset to his term as governor, and I have a gut instinct that she may at some point become Republican. How many former liberals have slowly but surely come around to conservatism through the steady and long term influence of their family? A welcome from the GOP and a fair shake is far more likely to influence her towards conservatism than sniping and condescension.

Its a new day, let's see what we can do with it.

But I find the irony sweet when her husband was attacked by the same Dem machine she's worked with her entire life. I've seen her NBC "interviews" and she can get Katie Couric at times.

So I'm not going to, yet, feel sorry for her.

Agree with your post on Maria 100%! Did you see how happy her parents were for Arnold? Maria is gracious and now as the First Lady of California time for people to knock off their criticism. She is not responsible for her Uncle!

Don't forget that Eunice is strongly PRO-LIFE. I'm hoping that this will trickle into Arnold's brain in the very near future.
