I will be out of town from Wednesday until quite late Saturday night.
If someone else can volunteer to post the scripture and prayer list, I know it will be appreciated.
If you can let me know some time on Tuesday (preferably through FReepmail), I can send you the ping list (which is different than the Dose ping list) before I leave.

Thanks for the scripture. Wondering tonight why you chose this one. Just curious.

Super job as usual.
Mrs. Kenya's gown reminds me ever so much of an illustration from one of my childhood books -- the gown that Cinderella wore! (Except the cape / shoulder cover is too light.) I think it's lovely.

In recognition of Yom Kippur, for I know that there are many FReepers for whom today (well, actually yesterday now) is the highest of holy days.
The chosen scripture is the one in which the Day of Atonement is instituted.

Very classy, isn't our First Couple? And the Kenyan president and his lady also.

Actually .. I'm leaving SD on Thur morning and I won't be back until the 18th. Driving up to Oregon for a vacation.

That's quite a long trip but I'll bet it's a beautiful drive. Prayers for you! We'll keep the lights on ...... :-)

Thanks for the prayers sweetie! It is a long drive (1,043 mi), but I love to drive and Hwy 5 is a strait shot from SD to Oregon. My sis lives at Coos Bay. I've never seen the Oregon Coast.

My sister was at the South lawn today for this event. She had an absolute wonderful time. Not only did she get to see the President and Rummy, but they also gave her a Kenyan and American flag. Our tax dollars hard at work...

...chops her in half .. makes her look dowdy (or dumpy) or SHORTer than she really is. Take off the bow and you get a streamlined sleek look - and a beautiful color on a beautiful lady. Jewelry has to go too. Needed something more elegant.
You pretty much summed up what I've been striving to "show" tonight. (It's not that I obsess or anything, but this would go easier if I'd get an art tablet again! I can "see" what I want; trying to "color" using a mouse isn't always easy! Of course, carpal tunnel doesn't make the art tablet much easier either, but I digress....) There are ways to lengthen a torso and disguise a short waist; unless it has long dangling streamers for vertical effect, a bow isn't one of them. I color; you decide:
I purposely didn't try to alter the cut of the dress aside from changing the neckline and then inserting the "folds" I'm about to describe. (I just do NOT think Laura's designer fits her clothes so they complement her figure.) Instead of streamers, overlapping fabric can create the same illusion -- when there isn't a bow interrupting the flow:
Because she wears so many of them, a bow must have a special significance for them. (I've managed to work "wooly mammoth" into 9 out of 10 books. We all have our little quirks.) ;)
And, while I was at it, I prefer blues. (I know. The President may prefer his wife in reds. Indulge me! I just wanted to see how she'd look if she dressed to match her husband's eyes.) ;)
Those who know me know it isn't "tomorrow" until after I've slept. "Tomorrow" I'll return to trying to find my next gainful employment assignment, working towards doing things that may actually make the world a better place, and coloring cutsie Web stuff. ;)

I agree. She doesn't have a perfect figure, yet that dress fits her well and looks nice.

The WH snafued on the guest list. They forgot to invite Stefanie Powers, actress, and longtime wildlife conservationist and friend of the people and children of Kenya.

Hello!
Hope you don't mind someone from the UK joining in here....
I'm not too sure if this message is going to go to one person or be available to all to read on this forum, so please excuse any mistakes!!
I'm a big fan of your President and the USA and your military ( I do a lot of artwork for your servicemen & women )I think you're our only true friends in this world.
Anyway, the reason I'm writing here is to ask, can anyone tell me the colour of the former President Bush's eyes, and also the colour of their hair in their younger days? ( both GW and his father ). I know now that GW has blue eyes...
I do aviation artwork for a living, and I am working on plans for a project - as both Mr.Bush Junior & Senior have served as pilots in the armed forces, I have thought of producing a painting of them both in the days when they flew for their country.
If anyone can help, it would be most appreciated!

Fawnn, the change in the neckline from square to "V" is striking on the dress. And really illustrates your point. I also like the blue color---even more elegant IMHO.
The gathered skirt on this dress is stunning.
Do you change all this with a PhotoShop or similar software? very interesting!

What an absolutely gorgeous couple! She just glows in that color. Wow. Of course, if I was married to George, I'd glow, too!
