Help me out here.

What is wrong with a moral king whose subjects have to spend most of their time translating what he really meant.

And let us not forget that the same subjects believe that no one holds a candle to his articulate delivery. Something doesn't add up.

I'm not in the mood.

Oh really? Then why don't you grab a cup of tea, turn off the computer, and play your game somewhere else.

But then I suppose your confusion over the purpose of a profile page explains that you also don't understand the nature of these types of threads.

Do I have to even say it?

It *has* to be us. We're too dumb to understand him; I know that's true because as long as I've been on here, people have been explaining to me "what he was trying to say."

Yeah.....I guess that's the case.

I didn't know one had to relearn English and pretend not to recognize the semantic manipulation in order to truly understand Keyesian.

How about AB 205 and SCA 90? McClintock voted for one, and couldn't be bothered to vote against the other.

Again, if you don't want those of us from out of state to comment, keep it to the California boards or post on Campaign Central.

Whining doesn't become you.

No, and it doesn't look like we're going to.

Yes, we have started thinking immediate gratification and aggrandizement in almost all areas while our enemies, the Chinese, the islamists and even the marxists will take 100 years to take us down, or longer.

People, families, companies or nations do not last without strategic planning, not just short term tactics....Arnold for Governor is a short term tactic...one that to me makes no sense.

If you say not to vote for Arnold because of "public benefits for sexual partners outside of marriage," how do you justify voting for McClintock who ALREADY HAS voted for it???????

Well, well, well...who would have thought?

From the article: On all the matters that touch upon the critical moral issues, Arnold Schwarzenegger is on the evil side. This is a fact. A mere list of the positions he supports is enough to make this plain: abortion as a "right," cloning of human beings, governmental classification of citizens by race, public benefits for sexual partners outside of marriage...

Keyes says it's the evil side.

Keyes says it's the evil side.

Looks as if McClintock has been flirting with the evil side, then.

Maybe Keyes doesn't know it.

McClintock said in August, prior to the California senate ever seeing AB205 that he would VETO the bill if he were governor. Every other candidate indicated they would sign it except Arnold who was not yet cognizant of the issue so he gave a no comment kind of answer. Why would you make up stuff about a conservative?

will take 100 years to take us down

We're a moving target, changing trajectory overnight all the time. Most of the time we don't even know for ourselves where we are or what direction we are going. They might strike a direct hit on where we were 90 years earlier, but that's about it.

"Character counts" was once the motto of conservatives -- when we were decrying the lack of character exhibited by Bill Clinton. Was that just a phoney political ploy on our part? Not for me.

And not for me. But judging by the number of FReepers who are now willing, no make that eager, to overlook or excuse the missing character and liberal-Democratic agenda of a big time Hollywood celebrity who can WIN, the answer to your question is a resounding yes. The hypocricy that has been on display on FR for the last week or so reeks to high heaven. But I guess the stench is tolerable if your only goal is to WIN. It must be an ego thing. You know, your team has to win or it somehow reflects badly on your masculinty. There's no other explanation I can think of.

Next, maybe the GOP can make a clean sweep in CA if it can persuade or bribe Babs Streisand and Martin Sheen to run for the Senate on the GOP ticket. And why not? Those two worthies have about the same political philosophy as the leading "Republican" gubernatorial candidate and I'm sure they would get the same enthusiastic support on this "conservative" forum. But most importantly they would have a big R after their names, and they could WIN. Yeaaah! Let's hear it for the home team.
