Vote No on Recall ...Barbra Streisand

Posted on October 3, 2003

Regardless of what you think about Grey Davis, we should all be able to agree that we must now stop this attempted hijacking of the democratic process. Impeaching Clinton ...Florida and the 2000 election ... Redistricting in Texas ... now California... What makes the Right Wing think they can just bully and buy their way into power? If we allow this recall to win, we will be setting a dangerous precedent. In this unfair process, a candidate receiving just 30% of the vote could beat Davis, even if the governor receives 49%. Our governor was elected fair and square just a year ago. He deserves the opportunity to serve out his time in office. So get out there on October 7th and vote no on recall !!!

Barbra has legitimate concern. She probably has paid "Grey" and his local folks good money to help her keep the local riff-raff off the public beach next to her Malibu palatial mansion. I understand that the sound of the children of peons frolicing in the surf can waft up to her tower and is offensive unto her ears.

"Grey" and his local folks probably fence it off claiming construction, safety, special events and environmental concern, for most of the year. This means that the only sound in Barbra's ears is the whisper of the stockinged feet of hundreds of illegal alien servants moving across the marble and gold floors of her palace as they go about their duties, gaze cast ever downward, avoiding eye contact with HER.

She knows Arnie will give the public beach back to the taxpayers who own it no matter how much money she tries to throw at him. So, cut Barbara some slack here.

Here, I will help you amend your dream so that it is acceptable.

Ms. Streisand, clad in the aforementioned bunny slippers and swilling chablis like a sailor, is reclining on a chaise lounge in her boudoir, while a meek and browbeaten British secretary is feverishly typing into the computer as Barbra dictates.

And I will bet the secretary is a gay guy. LOL!

we should all be able to agree that we must now stop this attempted hijacking of the democratic process.

The "democratic process" is not only about the election that put Davis into office. It is also about what the Constitution and laws of the State of California say about elected officials. For instance, if a sitting governor commits a felony, such as murdering a political opponent on national television, a procedure must be in place to determine what should happen next. Likewise, if a governor dies or becomes incapacitated in office, as did the Governor of Indiana. Laws, Ms. Streisand, are part and parcel of the "democratic process." And the recall procedure, as even you must surely realize, is part of California law.

If you are looking for a situation where the process was subverted, come on over to the People's Republic of New Jersey. In last year's senatorial election, Bob Torricelli, the democrat candidate, was way behind in the polls after incontrovertible evidence came out that he was corrupt, lining his pockets with money and expensive gifts from contributors for whom he did legislative favors. In other words, he was found guilty, in the court of public opinion, of soliciting and accepting bribes.

With only a few weeks to go before the election, and the national democrats desperate to hold on to a seat in a left-leaning state, they replaced The Torch on the ballot with good old Frank Lautenburg, an avuncular, retired, former long-term senator. Because the replacement was made after the statutory deadline, the case was sent immediately to the NJ Supreme Court. This august body is further to the left than the one down in Florida that created so much mischief. In their infinite wisdom (using tortuous logic), the NJ Supremes said it was okay to make the switch because the voters needed to be given a choice. This, despite the fact that there were several minor party candidates still in the race, and that Torricelli's name could have been left on the ballot (or written in by hard-core democrats.)The key factor, the firm deadline, was overlooked "for the good of the voting public." Why have a deadline if you're not going to enforce it?

The bottom line--party loyalty overcame the rule of law, and Lautenburg was elected by the moronic voters of New Jersey who would have voted for anyone with a D next to his name, with the exception of Bob Torricelli. I had to laugh the other day because some other sleazy rat politician in New Jersey (I know that's redundant) got caught doing something untoward, and the dems wanted to replace him in the upcoming election, despite the fact that, once again, the deadline had passed. You guessed it--The Court used last year's (illegal and wrong) decision as precedent to allow the switch this year.

But, Barbra is worried that the democratic process is being subverted in California.

'Grey'. I guess she`s using the same part of her brain, which is all of it, as when she wrote about us invading 'Iran' a few months back. "Trooth alirt!"

I'm picturing the poor bastard right now trying to buff Bab's toenail and type at the same time, forced to treat every dumb DNC talking point as if it were a pearl of wisdom. SNL has skit right there.

"Bully and buy their way into power" ??? This girl is way to stupid to be offering ideas to anyone. Every republican in office that I know of has been placed there by the vote of the people. This includes our president. She, like all fork-tongued reptilians, spouts this giberish knowing full well it is a lie damnable by God and man. But it is more important to lie and deceive to further the dark side's mission. If you really care about someone, you don't lie to them.

This recall and every other election result will not change Barbara Streisand's life one iota. What's it to her? What is so important that telling lies is a must? Or is she really that deluded and just mentally vacant of decency?

"Gray" is a nickname for the governor of California because of his "gray" hair

"Joseph Graham Davis, Jr. (nicknamed Gray by his mother) " - this is from his official biography on the State of California home page.

Well, if I were worth enough money to be immune from CA liberalism and could hire 'the help' on the cheap because of lax enforcement of the immigration laws, I'd support Gov. GREY as well. His administration answers to her beck and call.

As for GREY, she can't spell his name because he's just another part of 'the help'. He wroks for the Hollywood gliterarti. When his term expires one way or the other, he will no longer merit an additional mention.

I'm in California. Most of us here pay little or no attention to these celebrities.

I suggest those of you from out of state do the same.
