TOM MCCLINTOCK DAILY EDITION - 10/6/03 (CA GOVERNOR'S RACE)

TOM MCCLINTOCK DAILY EDITION - 10/6/03 (CA GOVERNOR'S RACE)

Please post local, regional, national news and views on Tom McClintock. This is a news and info thread. The following guidelines for posting are per DoughtyOne's most excellent suggestion.

McClintock Camp - Supporters or Defenders

Please post positive articles about Tom's policies and leave the Schwarzenegger bashing to the Democrats.

Schwarzenegger Camp - Supporters or Defenders

The call for McClintock to withdraw right now, or the tactic of calling him and his followers names for not doing so, is not productive and isn't good for the party.

Please save the Rino Arnold/Unelectable Tom rants for other threads.

"Dear Mr. Reagan, it should be obvious to you now that you can never be elected governor. Please put aside your ego, for the good of our party, and get behind the one man who is moderate enough to appeal to California voters - - San Francisco Mayor George Christopher."

...@ 6pm(that's 1800 for all you "lifers" out there LOL)

My poor kids had such a hard time growing up. Fresh out of 9 years in the Navy, I became a programmer.

As tough as it was for them to figure out how I kept going past 12 o'clock to 13 o'clock, it got even worse when I counted: 8..9..A..B etc. :=) Somehow they got through it.

Tom, couldn't get any of their vote either.

So did Tom make that 30 point surge?

Thanks for the heads up. AdHomenimannity was really pressing the same tired lines again, I don't know how I could ever watch his show every day and listen to the radio at lunch like I did. The repetition! But the new one is how he doesn't take sides in all this of (R)nold vs Tom, LOL. He was talking about his email, didn't mention how negative it had been for him...I happen to know personally that it has been ripping him a new one. Course I've come to realize you can't expect total honesty out of him through this Recall election...

KSFO reported that Davis ordered packing boxes.

Tom was on KSFO this evening, answered a few listener questions, relatively friendly and mellow tone by all.

Tom favors Prop 53.

Glad to hear his position on Prop. 53. I was going to vote no - only because my local paper (which is very left leaning) said yes.

The key thing on Prop 53 is making sure it doesn't turn into a slush find for the Rats to dip into it as they see fit. That may require some in their face action to stop that kind of shenanigans from happening.

An Election Eve Message from Tom McClintock

» Listen to Tom's Message via Windows Media Streaming

Dear Friends,

Our state is at a real turning point, and on Tuesday, we'll make a decision that will affect us and our children for years to come.

There's some things we differ on, sure, but here's what we can agree on: an honest and decent government, fair taxes, a balanced budget, protecting our families and healing our divisions.

Some people say I can't win, but if you read the polls, you'll find that most people say I'm the best man for the job. Maybe you've said that yourself.

So think about it—if everyone who feels that way gets out and votes on Tuesday, we'll win—by a landslide.

So I'd like to ask you to vote yes on the recall, and then vote your conscience on a replacement. This time, it's just too important for any of us to sit on the sidelines.

I've held my ground and fought for what I believed in, and now it's up to you. Because when they count the ballots, only one vote counts—yours.

At this point, it doesn't depend on me, it depends on you.

I'd be honored to have your support for Governor.

Tom McClintock
California State Senator

A No on Recall gal called me today. She asked me if I had my mind madeup. I said Yes, She asked me if I would tellher how I would vote, I said no you may not. and said Good Bye. That is the only call of any sort I have had from anyone so far. No arnie, no tom, and thank goodness, no cruz or camejo or davis.

Just to give a heads up I already voted last week at the Norwalk registers office Yes,Recall,Tom,53,54

....and I want to tell you why it's important to get out the vote for Tom and have a good showing

In this recall it sometimes seems like it been us against the world we had the Republican establishment, talk radio (save for Rush) and even many of our own Freepers against us...

But the thing is they have spent all there political capital vouching for Arnold as a “fiscal conservative”... at this point “there all in”... only one is resisting at this point...Tom.... and his point is clear... “I don’t believe it and I will stake my ca(reer) on it ”

The Arnold forces implied that there policy will be basically the same as Tom.. implied but not promised no new taxes.. implied but not promised no licenses for illegal... .. implied but not promised to cut regulation not add new ones.... ..promised to remove the car tax....

Well if Arnold gets in he has to make good or at least give a damm good try.... if Arnold turns out to be Rnull SchwarzRenegger as many of us fear then the Republican establishment & talk radio sellouts have there creditability crumble

Normally that would be bad across the board.. voters would be turn off or even turn back to the Dems.....

But in this case when there creditability crumbles... there will be one man on to the right and only one man whose creditability will be golden....Tom

I am hoping that Rabid will continue the TOM MCCLINTOCK DAILY EDITION in some format because what ever the outcome... the next step is to see thing get done that need to get done in California
