NATIONWIDE FREEP FOR TERRI! On October 10th, this Friday, I am asking people to do a sign freep for Terri. Wherever you are, display a sign that says "SAVE TERRI", and include the "WWW.TERRISFIGHT.ORG" info. Stand on the corner, put it in your car, on a t-shirt, anything. Get a prayer vigil together. Please, I am begging people to do this. It will give folks a chance to do something in addition to the phone calls and e-mails. I don't want Terri to starve. I don't want her to suffer and die, and her family to suffer too. I have already contacted some media in my area, and do the same in yours. As well as the national ones. Especially Glenn Beck. I don't care if you are just standing on a street corner by yourself for 20 minutes.....do something!

Can anyone explain exactly what caused the initial "collapse" that led to this situation? I've read through the two sites linked, but I'm still a little confused about how she ended up in this situation.
Hope all is well! God bless!

If you go to www.terrisfight.org, you can see an x-ray report of all the broken bones and PREVIOUS TRAUMA she had, though. If the various [bleeper][bleepers] do manage to kill Terri, is there any possibility of the state insisting upon an autopsy? Even if her death would not be unexpected, I would think there would be ample suspicuous circumstances surrounding her initial collapse.
Actually, I find myself wondering if someone in public office might be able to get Mr. Schiavo to change his tune by publically making such a suggestion. After all, if an autopsy were to show that Terri's condition was a result of malfeasance, there would be no statute of limitations on a murder charge.

I'm disabled. After reading their law, I'm never moving to Florida. I'm afraid to. Heck, my husband was comatose for 8 months. "Life prolonging" measures were certainly needed to keep him alive.
I warned all of my kids about Florida too.

"If the various [bleeper][bleepers] do manage to kill Terri, is there any possibility of the state insisting upon an autopsy?"I think Mikie got Judge Greer to rule that she be cremated after she is starved to death.

Was the insurance issue decided in a court? If so, couldn't they supoena the court record of the hearing? At least that way, they could hear where Mikey promised to have her in therapy.

I think Mikie got Judge Greer to rule that she be cremated after she is starved to death. I know that's the "plan", but I can't see where Judge Greer gets the authority to decide such a thing, especially while Terri is alive. I would think it up to the coroner to decide whether there were any suspicious circumstances which may have been involved in Terri's death. I suppose that if the coroner wanted to perform an autopsy and Mr. Schiavo objected, then a judge might get involved, but the initial determination should fall to the coroner should it not?

It was expected to be the last hearing in the five-year court battle by Michael Schiavo to end his wife's life by depriving her of nutrition and hydration. Schiavo first petitioned the court to remove Terri's gastrostomy or "g-tube" in 1998 after winning a $1.2 million medical malpractice judgment against her former physician. Terri's parents, Robert and Mary Schindler, have opposed Schiavo's attempts to starve their daughter to death. So Schiavo won a 1.2 million dollar lawsuit for injuries to his wife, and then has tried all these years to get her feeding tube pulled. He could have spent that money on her rehab, therapy, etc, but he wants to legally kill her, even though she's not a vegetable, she can respond. And she'll feel the pains if the court grants her husband's request.
He wouldn't dedicate the $1.2 million on her rehab/treatment, but thanks to her family trying to save her life, he's spent a bundle of it on lawyers - and so have they, fighting for their daughter's life. What was he fighting for?

"I suppose that if the coroner wanted to perform an autopsy and Mr. Schiavo objected, then a judge might get involved, but the initial determination should fall to the coroner should it not?"It should, but I would imagine of Mikie threw a fit and went to the judge to get her cremated and thwart an autopsy, the judge will allow him to have his way.
Heck, the case already looks like an attempted murder, and Greer seems to be doing everything in his power to help the number one suspect finish the job.
