On Fox News Live (Breaking)...
Fox News reports that the Davis Administration has sought the services of document shredding companies. The implication is that he thinks that there is a good chance he will be kicked out of office, and this is a desperate attempt to destroy incriminating evidence.
Tony Snow and guest suggest that the GOP should seek a restraining order to prevent the destruction of potential material evidence...

Davis should be indicted for gross negligence and misallocation of the taxpayers' money. If he were the CEO of Enron and misappropriated funds as he has as governor he would have been brought to justice by now.
I recently read that one of his current acts is to buy back unwanted land from developers who have made major contributions to him without having appraisals done. The article stated that he was agreeing to purchase prices that far exceeded the lands estimated appraised values. Furthermore, he has ordered that the prices he agrees upon not be disclosed to the public.
Why does our justice system look the other way when our politicians violate their fiduciary responsibilities for the large masses of people they represent?

I just emailed Fox News with this!

I wish Schwarzenegger would seek a court order to prevent shredding. State troopers should be placed in the capital to prevent it. If Davis is culpable in crime, he should go down for it.

Time for DoJ directed U.S. Marshalls to raid Davis' offices and place 24/7 guards to ensure that no documents (evidence) are destroyed. Would be a good PhotoOp to see yellow and black crime scene tape around Davis' offices too. :)

There's an AHnold event in Sacramento right now.
Perhaps a FReeper Arnold supporter could get there and tell 'em face-to-face.

There was a report a few days ago that Davis could manage to stay on as governor for a month or more even if he loses the recall, because of the legal steps involved in certifying the results (and of course Democrat officials in certain counties would stall as many days as they could)...so he will be able to destroy documents after he is actually voted out. Sort of like Clinton being able to sell last-minute pardons.

If he were the CEO of Enron and misappropriated funds as he has as governor he would have been brought to justice by now. Excuse me? The former CEO of Enron, Kenneth Lay, hasn't even had any charges filed against him. Lay will probably never be brought to justice.

Now we know the advice Clinton has been giving him. Get more shredders before you're booted out of office.

I was going to provide a link to the "Davis land purchase" story from the California Republican Party web site but it's no longer there, not even in their archive section. Then I went to the FR thread where the link was posted several days ago and noticed that the thread was pulled.
