Let me start by saying that I am not Mr. Simon Pure. I have had an interesting life and have managed to accumulate a lot of skeletons in my closet.

That being said, I am really upset and worried about the charges against Rush. If they are true, it is going to hurt a lot of people -- including me -- in a very special way. We expected him to be better. Better than this, anyhow... Better than us.

But the frightening thing is that we NEED Rush. Governors we have lots of. Politicians are a dime a dozen. Yes, I would love to have McClintok as Governor of California but will accept an Arnold victory and be happy with it, if the cards fall that way.

But, in all honesty, if it were possible I would throw the entire Califonia election to the Libs rather than lose Rush and his voice on the air. He cannot be replaced. There is no broadcaster out there that commands his audience and his loyalty.

We are going to need him more as we swing into the election season. I hope he will be there.

To err is human, to forgive divine, but if the Dimwits keep attacking us, crush them at the ballot box and in the court of public opinion. They send one of ours to the political hospital, we send two of theirs to the political morgue.

Screw "fair and balanced" journalism. Orchestrate a conservative media campaign that brands every Dimwit leader as a coddler of terrorists and pedophiles.

When you think about the major policies espoused by the Dimwits there are few things that cannot be spun along these lines.

Oppose tax cuts? You hate families with children.

Open borders? You support Osama...he's probably living in your basement with a Gray Davis driver's license.

Hate Bush's judicial nominees? You want to appoint pedophile-loving ACLU types to the bench.

Oppose the Iraq War? Probably named your first born Osama Mohammad Hussein too.

Fair? No. Who cares. This is war.

I absolutely agree.

What the public needs more than anything else is information- at least information different from what the Jackal Pack Media peddles. Talk radio and the 'net have made great strides towards breaking the stranglehold, but we still have a ways to go.

It is important that Rush's army of people go on the offensive in every possible way. Many of us are doing that here through the expression of our support through postings, but more is necessary..Word of mouth in your neighborhood or wherever you happen to be..Letters to the editor of your local newspaper and to the major media outlets can have an effect. Write your congressman/woman. It is becoming more and more obvious that this is an orchestrated effort to get rid of Rush. It is up to us and to him not to let that happen. It is entirely possible that he has had a disease-caused addiction to pain killers. How many people do you know who cannot sleep at night without Xanax..What about President Kennedy and his Addison's disease. According to reports, his physicians gave him regular injections of amphetamines (SPEED) so that he could function and keep up the pace. Without the help of painkillers, we might have been deprived of Rush for the past 2-3 years because he might have been in a terrible condition. People commit suicide because of unbearable pain and let me tell you, physician's who would like to prescribe these drugs legally over a long period of time for their patients do not because of "one size fits all" laws which would put them at legal risk if they did so. Look what happened to Elvis Presley's physician who, no doubt, was just trying to help the poor guy. We have all heard of cancer patients who go to the street to get marijuana to help with pain and nausea. Yes, it alters the thinking as well..So do antidepressants which 20 years from now might be very tightly controlled. I can remember my mother being given dexadrine or something like that to help her lose weight. It was common back in the 50s. She is a very healty 84 year old today..She has no age related diseases so it obviously did not hurt her, long term. My heart goes out to Rush mostly for one reason..Being a medically trained person, I know something about the physical suffering he has gone through. My heart is with sick, suffering people and the real story is how in the world has this gifted, courageous man done it, with or without painkillers! This would be valuable information for the rest of us when our time comes to suffer physically and to Rush's persecutors..Your day will come right along with everyone else's and when it happens, and when you watch that clock to see when you can get your next dose of pain medication, I hope you recall the day you dished out the cruelty to a fellow human-being.

Fear not.

Rush's listening audience will go up as a result of this because people like me (and probably you) will want to hear the whole story and, having heard it, will want to watch Rush go after the Dems who sponsored the political attack on him. Rush actually needed a little shaking up I believe. Too much golf, NFL and cigars and Rush is wonderful for me lately. I want him to go for the throat and I think this episode will do the trick.

It is going to be one hellava year. Great fun if you are a political junky and I am confident that the good guys are going to come out on top. Arnie will be Governor. Rush will stay #1 and Bush will kick the butts of the Dems by means that only Karl Rove could possibly think up.

Well .. before you condemn him - consider that he could have found his maid using his computer for her drug business. That would explain why he allegedly sent "emails". Next .. consider that when Rush found out this information he fired her (thus the conversation about erasing his computer with the drug stuff). Then, consider her attorney found out she was a former Rush employee - Bingo he calls somebody who would want to know that info - maybe David Kendall (lawyer for National Enquirer), who was also the lawyer for the Clintons.

Before convicting and sentencing .. just think who benefits most from Rush being out of the way ..??
