New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has agreed to be the keynote speaker at the Iowa Democratic Party's biggest annual fund-raiser next month.
Clinton's staff made the announcement Saturday.
The former first lady is serving her first term in the Senate, but has ruled out running for the party's presidential nomination in this election cycle.
She'll speak at the annual Jefferson-Jackson Day fund-raiser on Nov. 15.
In addition to $50 tickets at the door, the event features private fund-raisers where more serious donations are collected.
All of the party's ten contenders for the Democratic presidential nomination have been invited to attend.

I'm going to start looking for a devil costume. I just checked my calendar and I don't have anything on that night.

Just curious, as to how you found the KCCI website. Do you check it frequently?

My condolences to the residents of Des Moines.
There is nothing worse than having to host Hitlery.
A side note though, if you pronounce Des Plaines (in IL) under the same pronunciation rule used for Des Moines, what do you have? Hint, think Fantisy Island.

For some reason, KCCI left this paragraph out of the AP story:
Clinton's strategists have carefully limited her appearance to a single event in the run-up to the Jan. 19 caucuses to avoid speculation about her intentions in the nominating process.
Oh yes, that will do it. No one will speculate about her intentions now.

...I live in central Illinois and that is just too damn close. I like to keep at least one state between us.

I'm going to start looking for a devil costume. I just checked my calendar and I don't have anything on that night. If you can't find one, let me know. I think I know where we can find you a mask and a "I sold my soul to Hillary" sign that have been haunting her for months now.

Perhaps someone will put in a call to the International Pieface Conspiracy.
They took responsibility for the banana creme pie that collided with Anita Bryant's face in Des Moines in 1978 or so...

I have a mask all ready to go -- just got it back from another Hillary freep across the country. Freep Hillary good for the rest of us. She needs to know that FReepers will spread the truth wherever she shows up.
Just curious -- do you think she's ready to announce in Iowa on November 15? Wanna bet she and her crew have more "dastardly" surprises ready to launch on unsuspecting conservatives!!

WalMart has red and black robes right NOW, to $15.00. But you'll have to buy now. Your local Party City store should have masks, if not, check your area for those Halloween stores that set up only for the 30 days proior to the event.
A good basic devil mask is best. It helps sell the joke. Be sure it's an obvious devil mask, not a demon or such.
Also, get a pair of white gloves. And wave to people. It increases your "visibility" ten times. My local Dollar Store sells knit white one for home and garden chores.
FReep mail me an address and I'll mail you a copy of the "Stand By Your Scam" soundtrack.

And while pretending to work for the Democratic party and the Democratic candidates, she will be accumulating power and visibility for herself.
