[history]
All right, so a couple "major" polls show the famous thick-necked slab of Austrian meat wielding a dangerous Conan-like lead over quivering not-as-bad-as-you-think Gray Davis.
And Schwarzenegger's bouncing around like a Hummer on meth, inflicting that weird maniacal grin and massive blocklike head all over the unsuspecting media, as pretty much the entire population of even slightly aware and intelligent people in California and in fact all over the nation go, oh holy Christ, please dear God no.

"...since I can't even vote in California because I'm not from Mexico..."
Well, they say that the best humor has an element of truth to it. This line had me chuckling pretty good.

Oh... my.... God! Do my eyes deceive me? Is this an excerpt? Or did Mark Morford actually wrote an article with absolutely no reference to masturbation?!! Hell really is freezing over!

I'm impressed, Morford was actually able to write more than two paragraphs without bringing up the subject of anal sex. So glad to see he is in agony, I'm reminded of the old MASH theme song for an answer to his agony, "suicide is painless....."

Won't do any good. It's easy to vote absentee in CA. The dems will have plenty of ballots against the recall. I'll be very surprised to learn the recall passes. Voter fraud in L.A. alone can make up for any shortfall.

Well, even though you might sound a little understandably cynical there jwalburg, you do bring up a good point with voter fraud.
There's no question that the voter fraud in this election might rival that of Fla in 2000. We may have trunks of "lost" ballots floating upon the shores for YEARS after the election. We may have so many hanging chads littering the floors beneath the feet of the liberal volunteer counters, that it looks like a fresh snowfall in Tahoe. We may have holes in the ballots where no hole was even designed....people mysteriously voting twice or three times, maybe for Gary Coleman, Arianna Huffington and Arnold S on the same ballot..l....We will have new lawsuits claiming that people who suffer from chronic inability to decide or extreme confusion were disenfranchised.
Let's hope that, for the sake of California, some miracle takes place and Davis gets the boot anyway. It's either that, or California is lost. You'd be surprised at the damage this evil clown, Klinton twin without the personality, can do in his remaining term. I'm not at all being melodramatic when I say California will be lost. Now would be a good time for a miracle.
