[history]
All right, so a couple "major" polls show the famous thick-necked slab of Austrian meat wielding a dangerous Conan-like lead over quivering not-as-bad-as-you-think Gray Davis.
And Schwarzenegger's bouncing around like a Hummer on meth, inflicting that weird maniacal grin and massive blocklike head all over the unsuspecting media, as pretty much the entire population of even slightly aware and intelligent people in California and in fact all over the nation go, oh holy Christ, please dear God no.

Nothing unifies conservatives so much as hateful spite from the left.
To them, we're all a caveful of leering Bushites

Oh, what an absurd and dangerous hell we have wrought.
Indeed. What saddens me is that there is a REAL candidate for a change, one who has provable credentials. Yet the Republicans are actually supporting this plastic suit. Unbelievable.

a wildly mediocre semiarticulate muscle-bound power-hungry famously sexist actor with zero political experience and zero real-world awareness and zero communication of anything resembling detailed public policy
Man, that is awesome. "Zero real-world awareness" Wow! How does Arnold even eat if he has "zero real-world awareness"?
This man is so mad and upset, that I think it must be a very good thing that Arnold will be the next governor of California.

This wouldn't hurt the Libs nearly so much if they would stop squirming!
To: jwalburg
What Mr Morford doesn't quite grasp is that we don't "need a pro", we need to kick ALL the bums out of Sacramento and and start over from scratch.
It's so corrupt and "intricate".......nothing else will do.

I'm always impressed by the way that the right wing employs the politics of personal destruction while liberals express compassion and caring. Here's another example.

Proposition 13, jeepers, I didn't know it destroyed the schools and services.
I just thought it kept property taxes at a low enough level that people would not be forced to sell their homes as taxes went through the roof in a spiraling housing market.
Little did I realize it hurt the kids and people who actually received other services.
Had I only known, I certainly would have supported kicking all of the pensioners who could not afford the ever increasing property taxes onto the street.
I am sure those people would not have minded picking up their lunch in a dumpster knowing that some welfare queen would have enough money to buy a better brand of Scotch.
The typical liberal canard.
"You won't pay more taxes, and it is the kids, particularly the sick ones, that will suffer."
The dollar you save on taxes is always the one going to the forlorn tots who will be affected. For some reason, the liberal pols will never take that buck out of some other pot, no, it is always taken away from the children.
The problem is that this obvious ploy is a winner with the liberals who believe that it is only good intentions that solve problems.
In the famous words of Bugs Bunny: "What a bunch of maroons."

So if you have a policy of using expenditure to buy votes, then you are not going to cut direct payments to actual voters.

"You won't pay more taxes, and it is the kids, particularly the sick ones, that will suffer."This bit of liberal nonsense reals hits home with me. When Prop 13 was passed I was just a kid,one out of four, living with mom ,who was on a fixed income. We literally were at the point of being taxed out of our home until 13 passed. Later on in college during a conversation with a liberal friend he happened to mention prop 13 and how it "ruined things". After I told him about my own story he just shut up. Kind of sinks in to even a liberal mind when it gets personal.

Must not of occurred to this RAT writer that under the rule of so called "expert" policy wonks California went from a surplus to a debt larger than all the other states combined. As for empty suit Arnold, he actually has a degree in economics and made millions in business even before he got big in the movies.

Rush is right. When these liberals start losing, they get so rabid that they become funny.
You don't hire a sorority girl to run an international drug cartel, you don't hire a bass player to negotiate U.N. peace accords and, most of all, you don't hire a power-hungry egomaniacal actor whose monosyllabic ultraviolent movies have dumbed down the nation for the past two decades to run the most powerful state in the Union. But it's OK to hire a saxophone player to run the country?

Duh, uh, dare I say this is one leftist rag writer in a dither. May we also dare hope all the leftist ar$$es go into melt down CA election night.
This entire affair seems to have them in a warp speed panic mode. They love true democracy, until it is practiced to their deterrent.
