Watch for a smirking sympathy statement from PETA.

Eyewitness said that Roy was trying to get the cat to sit and may have hit it in the snout with the microphone and the cat lunged at Roy. 4 handlers came on stage and the cat drug Roy by the throat off the stage. Repeated the "beyond critical condition" statement per their Fox affliate in Los Vegas.

Perhaps I was a tad too subtle. Nah. It was just right. Best snort of laughter I've had all day.

Yep, I saw the report. Doesn't sound too good.

I remember an episode of the Simpsons had this scenario -- a tiger (can't remember if it was white) attacking his swishy German master during a Vegas-style performance. I wonder if that sequence will be pulled from the syndicated episodes. There was also a Simpsons episode in which Homer was shown with a (presumably stolen) Best Actor Academy Award with the name "Hang S. Ngor" inscribed. Ngor was murdered after that episode aired.

I believe there is one step defined as "beyond critical", that being the condition described as "grave". After "grave" comes deceased. However, there have been people who have recovered from a "grave" condition. Here's hoping Roy survives.
