PRAYER WARRIOR FIELD TRIP!!

Please put on your marching boots and march over to the special thread being conducted for our mystery-ak's Mike who is home today for R&R. We have been requested not to ping mystery-ak directly at this time as they will be busy.

Some of Mike's "kids" were lost in that helicopter crash, so words of encouragement and comfort are in order, as you feel moved to convey them.

God bless you, mystery-ak, and God bless you Mike.

http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1013484/posts

Beloved Merciful Father,

First of all, Father, we rejoice that our friend mystery-ak and his Mike will be able to have a reunion for several days. We call for Mike's safety in all his travels. We also ask for your blessing and overshadowing and protection of ALL our troops who are in any mode of transport whatsoever. Bless all who are engaged in or are soon to be engaged in their R&R leaves.

Over the last several days we have been stunned as the news has been unfolding of the helicopter crash containing our soldiers on their way to their much needed R&R. Father, we commend these precious soldiers, all of whom are too young, into your care and keeping. While these young soldiers were not actively bearing arms against the Enemy when they died, the Enemy was certainly perpetrating malicious warfare with the intent to demoralize our people into giving up on the ideals of Freedom and true Peace for the people in Iraq.

We remember at this time the ones who were wounded. Grant them healing, comfort, and inner peace to handle the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wounds that have taken place. Grant their loved ones an enormous capacity to understand that which is not understandable, and the ability to give their loved ones the support and encouragement which is the need of the hour.

Father, grant our people, our leaders, and our allies the continued Vision which is required to stay the course! Let not these young people have died in vain! Let not the lies of those who mutter and peep in the darkness begin to sound credible. Let the Truth refuting those lies be revealed clearly in every city, town, hamlet, home, and heart across this great nation. Father, we call forth the fervor of the early founding Patriots of Freedom. We call forth the commitment to back up with our vocal and active support and our treasure into the hands of those who are fighting the battles with their guns and bullets, and yes, helicopters. Father, lay upon the hearts of our leaders and those who have decision input the guidance of whatever is your Will and Plan in the unfoldment of events in Iraq, Afghanistan and other areas of concern or potential conflict.

We ask that you will comfort, heal, and give extraordinary strength to those families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones. We have such a huge debt of gratitude to these who have given all and to their families who have surrendered their most precious treasure. Father, as we have prayed before, we pray again that you will convey directly to the hearts of those grieving a tangible knowing of that gratitude which we are at a loss to ever repay. We also pray that you will convey to each one who has given all, that same appreciation and knowledge of the honor in which we esteem them, and the pledge that we will not forget them and their service.

Father, we remember once more the words of William Stephenson, who reminds us that we MUST give an accountability of our lives in time of war.

"Dear Lord,
Lest I continue
My complacent way
Help me remember
Somewhere out there
A man died for me today
--As long as there be war
I then must
Ask and answer
Am I worth dying for?" *

Grant us the grace to know how to begin to make the answer turn out to be "yes."

We pray all this together, for we know that as we unite, the prayers we offer somehow become greater than what we as individuals can offer. We know and trust that according to your Laws that somehow there is a multiplication. Please, Father, maximize our prayer efforts. Join our own efforts from this forum with each and every prayer group and individual who may be praying for our troops throughout the world. Adjust all our prayers to be in alignment with your Holy Will.

We are grateful that you hear us, and that you will in turn speak to us in that quiet whisper which thunders in our hearts when we turn aside from the distractions and truly wait upon you.

Amen

We all need to pray harder than ever to conquer this evil and uplift our troops in prayer. They are in so much danger, I think more than when the actual battles were going on.

Father,
We ask that you would spread your softest blanket of love and comfort over the families of those who have lost loved ones in this continuing warfare. Bless them with your peace, and give them understanding that their loss might have meaning to them. Let them know that if Iraq is free, then your Word will be free to fill the starving hearts that abound in that region. Let them see that this is not a political war, but a war for the hearts and minds and soul of a nation. That in this victory, You will be the victor, that their sons and daughters did not die in vain, but from their spilled blood will rise the knowledge of a Savior that can set their captive souls free.

UPDATE!

TruthNtegrity updated us in post 211 on the troops he/she has placed on our prayer list! Truth has also requested prayer for these special troops and their families.

Welcome home, John. Thank you so very much for your 30 year service!

What wonderful things Ben has been doing and is looking forward to doing! What a special thing to be able to celebrate the 80th with his grandmother. What a special blessing that had to be for the entire family!

LOL! Goofing is allowed! We are grateful to learn of the fabulous work in engineering that Andy is doing there at Annapolis. His presence there proves he is among the cream of the crop, and we are immensely proud of him.

We rejoice to hear of the reunion of pilot LTC Andrew with his family. We are especially pleased to hear of the first meeting Andrew has had with his new son.

We are glad to know about Keith being still in Iraq, so we can be sure to keep him and his young family in our prayers.

Thank you again for updating us, TruthNtegrity. It is so helpful to learn about the unfoldment of events in the lives in our troops, and their particular needs for prayer. I join you in gratitude for our Prayer Warriors who have made it their calling to pray for our troops.

Beloved Father,

We petition you for your intercession and guidance in the life of your servant, John, who has retired from the Navy after a 30 year career. Please open the doors and make plain the Path which you set before him in this new phase of life. We ask that you will shatter and bind any and all opposition to the fulfillment of his divine Plan. Surround his entire family and assist them in the adjustments to be made in this new time of opportunity for them. Bless them and keep them and all who are in a similar situation.

We place on our altar the life and situation of Ben, in the Marines. We pray for him to be surrounded and blessed during his further marine training program. We call forth his success and safety during the remaining time of his service. Father, bless this servant, Ben, and cover him with your guidance and hand. Help him to fulfill all the assignments you have for him. Help him to complete the divine Plan you ordained for him from the Beginning. Neutralize all opposition to his Path.

Father, we ask that you grant Andy at Annapolis the grace and illumination to fulfill his engineering studies in honor and victory according to his highest and best abilities. Bless him particularly in his English and physics. Assign to him angels of illumination to guide him during his study preparations.

We celebrate, Father, the return of pilot LTC Andrew to his family. We share in the joy of his first meeting with that new son. Father, surround this precious family with your grace and guidance as they make their move to another location. Help them settle in rapidly and harmoniously. May they find the special friends you have placed there for them. Bless this and all our military families who sacrifice so much for all of us.

We place on your altar our concerns for Marine Keith and his family. Father, surround Keith during his remaining days in Iraq with one of our prayer blankets. We call for his safety and the ability to fulfill all his missions victoriously. We are grateful for his service and willingness to fight for Freedom for that nation and for the protection of this one. Let there be special angels assigned to Keith to guide, guard, direct and protect him. We call for your blessing, healing, comfort, and strengthening of Keith's family, especially his wife, who is bearing a huge burden of responsibility. We call for the perfect healing of the 8 year old's leg infection. We ask that you will grant Keith's wife a whole TEAM of angels to help her with the full hands she has with that brood of 3 youngsters. We ask that you will bring to her tangible help in whatever form you may choose, whether it is a new friend, a neighbor who is called by you to help with baby sitting, or whoever you may have in mind to help her with whatever tasks are the need of the hour.

We call this forth for all the military spouses who are left to keep the homefires burning, raise the youngsters, and keep things on an even keel while their loved one is serving abroad. Father, we hear of the stresses on our military families, and know that some succumb to those stresses. Father, let not anymore of our military families founder or drown in those waters of stress heaped upon them. Please take a portion of love from our hearts to weave into a special garment of support for each of our military families. Father, help us as a nation and people be mindful of the sacrifices of these military families, and help us find a way to make it a priority to support them. God bless them all, and keep them all safe and secure in the bonds of love and commitment which they have formed by your grace. Above all, let our prayers be adjusted and made pure and holy according to your Will.

Amen
