Late night prayer request.
Please pray for our "Friend" leaving Kuwait for Baghdad. Prayers for protection in his travels, that he be filled with the Holy Spirit - purpose and joy, protected as he does his work in Iraq, and is given discernment to spot his enemies.
Also,
Prayer request from Cheney Chick for a Reservist friend that was just sent to Iraq. :
***Her name is SFC Mary M. and she is now in Iraq. She has five kids and a husband back home in CA holding down the fort. He needs prayers too, BIG TIME!***
Thank you!

PRAYER WARRIOR FIELD TRIP!!
I realize that I am a little behind in making replies to our prayer thread, but I was pinged a little while ago to the following thread for an injured marine helicopter pilot who is in critical condition and is need of our immediate prayer support.
http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1006922/posts Merciful Father,
We offer our prayers for the young marine helicopter pilot who is in critical condition following a mishap with that UH-1N Huey.
Father, surround this young man with one of our prayer blankets, thick and warm made from our hope and concern, along with your healing, mercy, protection, comfort, and love. Father, we do not know the nature of this young man's injuries, but we know you do. We hold vigil for this young man and all who have been injured in the line of duty.
Father, we call forth legions of your angels of protection to surround each and every helicopter, airplane, jet, train, SUV, Humvee, bus, donkey cart, and all conveyances used in any way to move our troops around. We call forth those same angels to overshadow all who are responsible for maintenance. Bring to the attention of those who are in those positions any and all flaws to be found in mechanical, metallurgical, electrical, hydraulic, or any other systems in these conveyances. Grant these maintenance crews all proper parts, tools, and efficient means to effect repairs in a safe and timely manner. We call forth the protection, particularly of aircraft, from the vulnerabilities they have to the sand found in the region. We call forth your intercession in situations where crashes or wrecks happen but the passengers are miraculously spared.
Father, let us stand with our troops in Spirit! Let us even go about your business while we sleep! If it is possible to do so, we ask that you will let us perform that scriptural admonition which states, "pray without ceasing!" We do pledge ourselves to holding the vigil for our young men and women under arms! Help us Father to fulfill that pledge according to your Will and the assignments you give each one of us individually.
Father surround the family and friends of this young marine fighting for his life. Surround the family and friends of all who are in a similar situation of need. We are grateful that the life of this young pilot has to our knowledge been spared....please grant that he can be fully healed! We are grateful for your ever present care and concern.
Amen

Our non-Freeper Veteran 'wardaddy Scott' arrived at the Baghdad Int'l Airport - where he's currently staying, watching the bombings on TV and remembering Vietnam, busy with security work. He's moving soon into a neighborhood hotel.
I asked him weeks ago to please let us know when he arrived and told him he was added to the FR prayer thread and we would pray for him.
He let us know.
Thank you so much for this thread.
Dear Heavenly Father, please watch over Scott during his stay in Iraq. Guide him in his security work that he may save innocent lives. Comfort and heal him when memories of old battles surface. Fill him with the Holy Spirit - strength and purpose. Be with him in moments of loneliness. Please reveal to Scott our enemies, any hidden bombs - IEDs, land mines - RPGs, missiles and any other hidden weapons our enemies intend to use against Scott and his fellow civilian and Coalition troops, Iraqi allies working to rebuild Iraq. Please, Lord, let the hurting Iraqi people and the Coalition troops see Your work and light in this Veteran who chose to leave his beloved son and wife to work in Iraq so that the lives of less experienced troops may be saved. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus's name I pray, Amen.

I just got great news! My brother is now in Kuwait, waiting to be sent home!! He was just made a captain at the beginning of this month, which means he has to come home to go to captains' school (whatever that is!). He should be home in the next few weeks. But he is already out of the war-zone.
Hooray, hooray, hooray! I hope he gets to STAY at home, now, as his wife is expecting their baby in the Spring.
