CAMPAIGN BOMBSHELL: ARNOLD PRAISED HITLER IN BOOK PROPOSAL
Am unearthed book proposal by Pumping Iron's director George Butler is set throw the California recall race in to new levels of complete chaos.
The book proposal quotes Arnold Schwarzenegger naming monster Adolf Hitler as a hero!
MORE
ABC News, which broadcast the remarks on Thursday, said they were contained in an unpublished book proposal with quotes from what it calls a "verbatim transcript" of the interview.
Asked about his heroes, the young Schwarzenegger, in 1975, was quoted as saying; "I admired Hitler, for instance, because he came from being a little man with almost no formal education, up to power.
"I admire him for being such a good public speaker and for what he did with it."
The actor was quoted as saying he wished he could experience being .."like Hitler in the Nuremberg stadium and have all those people scream at you and just being total agreement whatever you say."
Asked by ABC News to comment on the old remarks, Schwarzenegger said: "I cannot remember any of these. All I can tell you is that I despise everything Hitler stood for. I despise everything the Nazis stood for ... everything the Third Reich stood for."
The author of the book proposal told ABCNEWS that the quotes needed to be seen in context of Schwarzenegger's admiration of powerful men.
The book proposal contains other stunning passages, which ABCNEWS is preparing to reveal.

WHY ON EARTH DO PEOPLE RUN FOR OFFICE WITH MAJOR SKELETONS IN THEIR CLOSETS????!!!
The Dems were really cagy this time. They waited until the California Republican leadership knifed McClintock, then broke this stuff.
I wonder how much more will float to the top on Schwarzenegger before this is over.

How many times does it need to be said that this is old news? In the 1990 biography of Arnold entitled "Arnold," Wendy Leigh made the same accusations. Mix in one part concservative and two parts Austrian, what do you get? Why, Hitler of course ! Give me a break.
Arnold must be the right candidate in light of the shrieking and desperate attempts of the Democrats to tear him down. Go Arnold !

Paul Harvey(sp?) this morning on his relugar news report time slot said that KKKlinton who is working behind the scenes with Davis is behind the smear jobs on Arnold!! I HATE THAT BASTARD, DIE ALREADY AND GO TO HELL!!

The book proposal quotes Arnold Schwarzenegger naming monster Adolf Hitler as a hero! The Dims may have forgotten that this might actually cause Arnold's poll numbers to rise with the virulently anti-semitic MEChA crowd.

This is the Davis Campaign daily drip. You can expect one per day through the election.
Davis has to spend his campaign chest on something, and this is it. I suspect there are thousands of Dem hacks running through Arnold's past. This is identical to the DWI arrest of GWB over 20 years ago.
Let's make it backfire, and accuse Davis of sliming.

I concir. The timing smacks of DNC attack mode and the vintage leaves a lot to be desired. Most of us have done things in our youth that we aren't too proud of in our later years. Arnold has lived a bigger-than-life life, so his scandals are, supposedly, bigger.
If an UNPUBLISHED book proposal that ALLEGEDLY quotes AS and some 30 year-old antics on different movie sets are the best they can do, it proves that they are out of ammo and throwing stones. Also, ABC is NOT noted for being the most objective source of anything when it comes to conservatives and conservative values.

Arnold is an Austrian...he's isnt an American in the sense he was raised here...
His family ties to America dont extent back to the French and Indian War,the Revolution, the Civil War, World War 1, 2 Korea or Vietnam
He did not fight in any of our wars or even serve in our military...
He came here as an immigrant body builder one of Joe Weider's steroid- inflatable party dolls
Weider promoted him...and as a result he went further and higher than any other of Joe's stable boys..inlcuding Draper..soared higher than Steve Reeves or Lou Ferrigno
Arnold's pop was a minor Nazi...a NINO if you will..(nazi in name only) in order to work..to feed his family..to survive a Nazi govt
Arnolds childhood friend's parents were most likely in the same boat...as was his country of origin
Arnold sees things in a more Euro way imo than he does a traditional American way
He said he admired Hitler...for his ability to command a crowd ,to speak in public, to be adored by and worshiped by millions...if any thing..it only shows what a meglomaniac Arnold is..and a power and fame seeker...(what successfull politican isnt more or less?)
Arnold is into conquest and power and being on top -winning is everything to him
He admired Hitler for those same qualities
Arnold also qualified his statements...as he did not admire Hitler for what he did with his power in fact Arnnie condemns him for that...it was the way Hitler commanded people that Arnnie gets off on..or got off on..Not the acts Hitler committed..
Arnold policies and views should be discussed as well as his current life style choices ..his predilictions weaknesses and his beliefs or philosophies...
These are the things that should make or break him as a candidate..imo

Because, sensible people will realize that AS was a rising star body-builder, and that is a "look at me" type of career.
What I mean by this is:
It would be natural in that context, that someone would look at AH, and see only the fact that crowds of people were screaming and cheering for him and looking down to see hundreds of thousands of adoring faces would "feel good," and cite him as an example.
It's too bad that AS didn't use "The Beatles" as an example, and chose AH.
It is a fact, however, that AH studied our Western ways, and our football game crowds, and learned how to get crowds hyped up for something, and made all that happen for himself.
A dumb statement, yes, but look at what is actually being praised. It's not AH, it's the crowds that cheered for him. Which brings on its OWN form of stupidity!

Boy, talk about dirty politicking! You have to wonder how Maria Shriver feels about her fellow Democrats trying desperately to destroy her husband's reputation.
It wouldn't surprise me if Paul Harvey is right about Clinton being behind this (to put it mildly) smear campaign against Arnold. That despicable lout (I'm referring to Clinton, of course) is a master at the "politics of personal destruction" he and his equally despicable wife so hypocritically would denounce.
