Can you believe my computer had to pick this day to freeze up?!?! Mine dittocam (locked up too, about 3 mins in. He seems very sincere off the dittocam. He was reading from a script when he was talking about the stuff in Florida. You could tell he wanted to just read extemporaniously. But he is smoking and chomping on his cigar :)

So explain to me why I'm wrong.
To: WatchOutForSnakes
He may NOT know what he's dealing with, especially if the whole story has been fabricated out of whole cloth with no basis in fact, or anything close to fact.
To: lainie
He is trying to stick to the football story,,,,,To bad, that story is dwarfed by the drug story.....
This guy is ducking and running from the drug story. This will be a tough show for Rush.....

For the hard of hearing the truth ---
The damage that these drugs can do, obviates a cochlear implant solution.
The cochlear implant requires healthy [enough] nerves.
The drugs are anti-healthy nerves.
Implants are not performed for people whose nerves fail to pass various, elaborate tests over a period of time.
But of course, a person of extraordinary wealth might prevail upon surgeons and audio specialists to perform the surgery anyway and take their chances.
Yet the knowledge that certain drugs can affect the nerves to the ears, would be on the checkoff list of things to avoid ... and for some time ... in order to observe any hearing recovery.
Of course a drug addict might deny, deny, deny ...
Then there is much testing that would illuminate the drugs.
BTW, ordinary aspirin can dull your nerves --- several drugs can --- it depends upon your nervous systems' vulnerabilities.
In general, however, nerves so damaged to render an ear technically "disabled," are not nerves good enough for a cochlear implant.

hey babe!
i called them and said it would be too early for anyone to comment witout even knowing what the truth is about the drugs thing..so me and a PODSTER they contacted will be going soon. will let u know.
but looks like we not gonna get to the bottom of this soon..and i understand because rush has to be careful what he says about an ongoing investigation.
i live in palm beach, they are very liberal here and i'm sure can't wait to see the downfall of rush.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with what Rush said. In fact, it was the truth. No apology is needed. We need not apologize for speaking the truth even if the politically corrects don't like it. That only makes them stronger.

I am positive Black wants to see all of it before Rush says anything that could be twisted, if in fact this is a set-up. That's it. Use the Marion Barry defense, "the bitch set me up."

Freepers, first off I would guess there are dozens, if not hundreds of new members that joined within the last 24 hours. 99% of these are going to be liberal scum. Don't forget the "sleepers" who have been here a while....

Are you saying Rush's show will drop 15% or ESPN's show? It wouldn't surprise me to see the latter drop back to exactly where it was before Rush, who had giving it a big boost, especially in the 18-34 male group.
However, I don't think the media is going to ever confront their racial attitudes. I mean, it would be worthy of discussion or investigation as to why there are NO, ZERO white cornerbacks in the league. That should cause someone to go "hmmmm."

FOX News just ran about 2 minutes of his opening segment and promised more after the break.

Assuming that Rush was using those pills (I don't believe it was 100 per day) is there a chance it all started with taking some sort of prescribed weight loss drugs and then went on from there? Remember, Rush did lose over 100 pounds. It might have been because of better diet but perhaps weight loss drugs were also used.

"He looked pretty silly saying he doesn't know what he is dealing with. Of course he does, he either bought the drugs or he didn't."
I'm guessing there is something that he did wrong here re drugs...but what we don't know is the extent of it, what caused his addiction, who's behind the story hitting the media (and on the exact day that it did), whether the details are true (I have trouble believing he's passing cigar boxes at a gas station...). Sigh.
I feel like a family member has probably done something that really disappointed me and hurt the family's (conservatives) reputation badly to boot. But I want to get behind the person and help them, too.

Oh come on. I like Rush, but its silly to say that he doesn't know what rumors are circulating.
