After reading what it is, it appears to me to be what I called a big ole boil.
My poor grand-daughter had one just like what is described. I took her to the doctor and they lanced it and she has been all right ever since. Not to say it might not come back.
Although it is very uncomfortable having one of these it does not cause such pain that someone would take heavy duty pain medication for IMO.

I don’t take any joy in being right, and I wish Rush well.
I just noted in this thread that it seemed obvious to me that if there was no truth to the story, he would have stated that clearly. When he didn’t, I suspected that at least some of it was.
A lot of people jumped all over me when I said it, but it seemed obvious to me at the time.
I also stated that if he was addicted to drugs for the last few years, and continued crusading in favor of the drug war (even to the point of saying that illegal drug users should be locked up or expelled to Europe), it would make him pretty hypocritical. And I think it does.
I don't believe I said anything more than not to rush to judgment, and that a guilty person always says, "I am innocent and I will be cleared of all these charges", together with the fact that he did or did not was of little consequence.
