[history]
October 3, 2003 -- THE current furor over who, if anyone, in the White House leaked anything about Joe Wilson's wife and whether that leak, if it occurred, constitutes a crime is off the mark.
My concern is about something far more ominous. It is what I see to be a systematic pattern of conduct being carried out by elements within the Central Intelligence Agency constituting a virtual covert operation against the Bush White House - a covert operation designed to protect the spy agency's turf and deflect charges of incompetence.

The CIA must be made to realize that we don't have the luxury of being at war with ourselves. For the CIA to get that message, perhaps the time has come for some heads to roll. Looks like King has finally taken his "thinking cap" off the hook where he's been storing it for too long.
His "thinking cap" is back on his head and I hope he keeps it on for a while.

WHO SENT THE ROSENBERG-WILSONS TO NIGER????

It is interesting that Peter King has seemed to come back around to our side.I'll bet Schumer was a little shaken when he heard about the column.
Schumer likes the "softie" Peter King, not the King with a backbone.

WHO SENT THE ROSENBERG-WILSONS TO NIGER????

I imagine that Chucky is as scared of the New Peter as we are surprised and happy with the New Peter.
9/11 evidently woke Peter out of his Rino Liberalism like it did to people across the country.

Tenet has always been Bush's WEAKEST LINK!!!

According to Wilson's own statement, he talked to a few people at the CIA about his trip, and some others as well. Sounds to me like Wilson ought to be subpoenaed for the names. And then a few more supoenae ought to be handed out.
needs repeating.

That is the one thing that is so strange about this thing, are the stupid things that Mr. Wilson has and continues to say.Makes you wonder why he was sent to check into the Niger-Iraq connection.
He has said stupid things upon his return from Africa, just like Alec "The Stonethrower" Baldwin did. I can see the marquee now.
The Niger Connection
Starring Alec Baldwin.

All of this reminds me of a comment made way back during the 2000 election I believe, that Clinton had left time bombs for the Bush administration.

And how much credibility should we give to Wilson, who shows off pictures of his wife, comparing her to an actress in a TV spy drama? This from a man that claims Rove and the Bush Admin is puting his family in danger?
Someone might not recognize a name .. but they sure would recognize a face if shown a pictre

I am posting that question onto EVERY thread about the Rosenberg-Wilsons..........WHO SENT THE ROSENBERG-WILSONS TO NIGER????
To: Grampa Dave
I imagine that Chucky is as scared of the New Peter as we are surprised and happy with the New Peter. This scare couldn't have happened to a more self-satisfied media-hog.

I agree that George Tenet should go.Of course. Unfortunately, Tenet has supporters in the Leftist media. I read Woodward's "Bush At War" book a few days ago and it was basically a Tenet lovefest. According to the book, he did everything right while the rest of the administration panicked. In fact, at the very time planes were crashing into the WTC, Tenet was talking about UBL to his friend in Congress (amazingly convenient coincidence).

"The Wilson incident raises troubling issues and serious concerns. Why did the CIA entrust a non-CIA man with such a sensitive assignment? Wasn't the CIA aware that Wilson opposed the Bush policy in Iraq? How extensive was Wilson's investigation? Why didn't the CIA take action against Wilson when he went public against Bush and revealed the details of his mission?"
Excellent questions that should the starting point for this investigation.
To: PhiKapMom
I am in total agreement with you. I know alot of people think Tenet is doing some of this, but if the reports are true that a group within CIA with Ms.Valerie Plame as an instigater set up the trip for political purposes without his knowledge, then perhaps Ms.Valerie was about to get in deep dookie. Tenet would know best who some of these people are and may have already been planning to get rid of some of them before the story broke. Plus,it has also been reported he never knew about the referral being sent to Justice in the first place. I find it interesting that the democratic line from Schumer,Biden,Pelosi and others was George Tenet asked for this investigation and therefore that gave it it credibility. Not one reporter, newscaster corrected them on this even though we read articles stating he had nothing to do with it. I want an investigative reporter to find out how many political appointees were given permanent govt.jobs and where they are located in the govt.

Ruppert is the source?
I don't think I'd believe him if he said the sky was blue and water was wet. Better to find another source for such info imo.

I don't know the individual or his reputation. This is the most concise timeline of events relating to Deutch's tenure at the CIA I have come across on the internet. Each of the items listed in the timeline are independently verifiable, public domain facts. The dates, for example, when Deutch was sworn in as DCI, when he resigned, what firm he joined after resigning, when the investigation into his security violations began, what the conclusions were, when Clinton pardoned him, etc, are not in dispute.
For more information on Clinton's pardon of Deutch, see for example Senate committee investigating Deutch pardon, a story on the CNN Law Center website.
If there is a specific item whose validity you question, I can you provide an alternate source to verify the information.
