Abducted Israeli business man Elhanan Tannenbaum, accused by his Hizballah captors of being a Mossad agent, is near death following intense torture at the hands of the Lebanese terror group, according to reports in the Hebrew press Thursday.

A German mediator was recently allowed to visit Tannenbaum, and said Hizballah terrorists had ripped out his fingernails, pulled all of his teeth and severely damaged his internal organs during torture sessions.

These Islamofascists have corrupted souls. Their corrupt "religion" tells them to murder, torture, rape, and maim. They deserve to be annihilated... completely.

Fifty-four years old at the time of his abduction, Elchanan Tannenbaum, the son of Polish Holocaust survivors, immigrated to Israel in 1949, together with his father, mother and sister, after most of his relatives had perished in the Holocaust.

The family settled in Holon, where Elchanan spent his youth and matriculated from high school. He was an active organizer of the boys’ scout organization in Holon, and later became a member of the Scout leadership in Israel, representing the Israeli Scout movement in the USA.

At the age of 18, Elchanan enrolled in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, studying economics and political science. During his academic studies, he began serving in the IDF. After graduation, he completed his army service as an officer, continuing to fulfill duties as a reserve officer as needed from time to time. In the reserves he achieved the rank of Colonel.

He continued his studies at the Tel Aviv University School of Business Administration. He then became a businessman, working alone and with partners.

Elchanan married in 1971, and is the father of two: a daughter, Keren (26), now studying philosophy and communications at Tel Aviv University, and a son, Ori (20). Elchanan is chronically ill. He suffers from severe asthma, which requires daily medical treatment.

Elchanan Tenenboim has supported many families who have lost children in the ongoing Israeli-Arab conflict. He is devoted to his country, his family and friends, and is always ready to extend a helping hand.

Among their appeals, Tannenbaum's children have been unable to confirm the delivery of any asthma medications sent to their father via the Red Cross.

For Elchanan's 55th birthday (his first and hopefully his last in captivity), his children sent him via the Red Cross personal letters and Victor Frankl's book, Man's Search for Meaning -- a deeply moving personal essay by the founder of Logotherapy detailing his own imprisonment in Auschwitz and other concentration camps for five years, and his struggle during this time to find reasons to live.

Iraq: Muslim law trumps
Geneva Convention
POW treatment to be dictated by religion, official threatens beheadings

Iraq's foreign minister has declared that "the teachings of Islam," and not the Geneva Convention, will be the nation's guidelines in the treatment of coalition POWs.

"First of all, we are committed to the teachings of Islam. We are faithful Muslims. We take care of our prisoners of war in accordance with our teachings of Islam," Foreign Minister Naji Sabri told a BBC radio program.

According to an Agence France-Presse report, the foreign minister said, "We are committed first of all to the teachings of Islam, and second we are committed to the conventions of Geneva in dealing with the prisoners of war."

Sabri is in Egypt on a diplomatic trip aimed at rallying Arab governments against the U.S. and British policies of "colonialism, neo-colonialism and war," reports newssite icWales.

"We are the people who created law when the grandfathers of Mr. Blair and Mr. Bush were living like animals in the caves. Iraqis created the law and were dealing with physics, arithmetic, literature and music," Sabri told the radio program.

Sabri left Baghdad under heavy bombardment to make the trip, via Syria, to Cairo where the 22-nation Arab League is meeting to try and reach consensus over the war. He made the statement after five captured U.S. soldiers were shown on Al-Jazeera TV being interrogated yesterday in apparent violation of the Geneva Convention. Al-Jazeera also aired a gruesome video of bodies in U.S. uniform, apparently in an Iraqi morgue.

Al-Jazeera has since stopped airing the video, White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said today.

Article 13 of the Geneva Convention, adopted in 1949, states that prisoners of war shall not be exposed to "public curiosity."

Sabri was upbeat in his assessment of Iraq's performance in the war, saying, "We are beating the enemy beaten and buried in the desert of Iraq."

"I think that the mistake that the British and the Americans made is that they thought this was a country that was just Saddam Hussein's," Sabri said. "This is a country with ancient civilizations who have defeated every aggressor that has come there."

Last week, during the 48-hour ultimatum President Bush gave Saddam Hussein prior to hostilities beginning, the Russian Rosbalt news agency reported that Sabri predicted any American caught by the Iraqi regime would be "burned or beheaded."

Time to feed the Islamists at Gitmo some heavy duty drugs, and introduce them to some pigs for their sexual enjoyment (video taped, of course). A mix of MDA and Jimson Weed should suffice. Their old buddies back home would really enjoy those new home movies. But then so will the prisoners when they come down and get to see themselves on the big screen....

Israel should attack Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and any other state thought to be responsible and implement justice on the nations.

Complete article:

Jerusalem (www.jnewswire.com) - German negotiators trying to work out a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hizballah said Thursday that abducted Israeli businessman Elhanan Tannenbaum is in bad shape following torture at the hands of his captors.

Israeli officials fear Tannenbaum may not live to see the end result of the negotiations, and are demanding Hizballah allow a doctor to examine him as part of the exchange deal, Israel's Yediot Ahronot daily reported.

Hizballah war crimes

Tannenbaum was kidnapped by Hizballah terrorists while traveling abroad in October 2000, shortly after the Lebanese terror group had abducted three IDF soldiers patrolling Israel's northern border.

The three soldiers have since been declared dead by the IDF due to wounds sustained during their capture.

Tannenbaum was recently visited by a German mediator, who brought a letter from the captive businessman to his family and reported on his physical condition, according to Hebrew press reports.

According to the reports, Hizballah, who accused Tannenbaum of being a Mossad agent, ripped out his fingernails, pulled out all of his teeth and had severely damaged his internal organs during torture sessions.

Accepting Hizballah's claim that Tannenbaum is a legitimate prisoner of war, the terror group's treatment of him constitutes a "severe breach" of Section II of the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

Prisoner swap

During the course of the present prisoner exchange talks, Hizballah chief Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah has consistently demanded that Israel release all Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian security prisoners in exchange for Tannenbaum and the remains of the three IDF soldiers.

Israel, for its part, has reportedly expressed willingness to release several hundred Hizballah and Palestinian terrorist prisoners, including two senior Hizballah leaders.

The Israelis should not release even one prisoner--unless it is in a coffin made out of a hog carcass.

"Islamists are the modern day Nazi's."

That's true, except for the trains. Have you seen the transportation systems in Islamic countries? Deplorable. The Nazis had a first-rate transportation system (the easier to move their human cargo to disposal sites). Other than the that, the Islamists and the Nazis are soulmates, and both should be consigned to the fires of hell.

The Islamo death quads are too stoopid and incompetent to actually operate a train system, much less a death camp. So, their method is to bring the killing to the people, be it on a bus, in a marketplace, in a pizzeria, etc. The result is the same, only the location has changed to reflect the crude and primitive capabilities of the mass murderers.

This torture is done in the Name of Islam and the Muslims

Prediction:

Ibrahim Hooper of CAIR will not be calling a news conference to demand an end to this practice being done in his name , or the Name of God.

We take care of our prisoners of war in accordance with our teachings of Islam..

Clearly. This is sickening sadism, and ought to be widely published. I hope the IDF kills a lot of these Palis.

This is worse than just killing a man. Israel should not hesitate to invade Lebanon if that is what it takes to get this man back. They should burn down anything standing in their way and cut down anyone who won't cooperate. No nation should have to accept this sort of treatment of its citizens. If the Lebanese (or the Syrians) want to host Hezbollah, they should have to accept the consequences, which SHOULD include Israeli airstrikes on civilian targets. The Israelis have got to be willing to take the gloves off.
