Joseph C. Wilson IV, the man accusing the White House of a vendetta against him and his wife, is an ex-diplomat turned Democratic partisan.
President Bush, he wrote in an article in the far-left Nation magazine that was published before the Iraq war began, is not interested in democracy in the Middle East but "this new American imperialism."

And, currently, Wilson is employed by the Middle East Institute, correct?
The Saudis are certainly getting their money's worth, are they not? It could be the Democrats are merely the recipients of an ancillary benefit.
Wilson then spends 8 days drinking tea with different people asking "DID Saddam try to buy yellow cake"?
Wilson who is KNOWN TO OPPOSE the Iraq war..Wilson who hates Bush..Wilson who is a Clinton/Algore appointee ...and low and behold a negative report comes out of his phony investigation..and then his wife's job at the CIA just happens to gets 'leaked' by a senior person in SOME administration position...there are several different agencies in DC that have their own personal administrations besides the White House.
Which Novak states DID NOT CALL HIM.
Novak fails to site if it is the admin in the CIA, State Dept, Pentagon, Legislature or FBI. He just assumes we can read his mind as to which he means. He also fails to mention the party the 'leaker' belongs to. Many of these career admin people have been there through several presidencies.
Wilson himself names Plame as his wife in his bio. It is fairly well known in DC that she works at the CIA.
The RATS held a meeting recently to discuss how to shave points off GW's popularity, and how to defeat him in '04.
Novak wrote his piece in July, this is OCT.
What a perfect set up to scream LEAK and COVER UP by the DNC.........Just what we are seeing unfold.
Bill Kristol said on FNC tonight that there is a battle in the 'admin' between the doves and hawks and that one of the doves may have been the source of this leak in order to bring down the President because he DARED to go to war on Saddam.
Wilson says his wife's career is 'ruined'...she's a desk jocky not a field agent. I fail to see how this 'ruins' a desk jocky's career.
She's 40 and has been in the CIA 3 decades...I didn't know the CIA recuited 10 year olds.
Wilson has had to admit he LIED about Rove being the source of the 'leak'.
How many other things has he lied about??????????
Not odd if you understand that the CIA has been politicized.
Wilson was sent on this "pivotal" mission and came back announcing to one and all that there was no "there" there, that, no, no one in Niger is selling anything to Iraq, not no way, not no how.
Of course, in the fine print he states pretty explicitly that he did absolutely no investigating what ever. His investigation-in-name-only was carried out by asking government functionaries if they had made any illegal sales. Unsurprisingly, they denied it, and Wilson broadcast their denials to the whole world in his written report filed with the New York Times.
The New York Times, as we all know, is the customary method by which contract agents communicate with their agency handlers.
And the on-the-record statements by Niger government functionaries are obviously far more reliable than State of the Union remarks by a sitting US president.
And charges by someone who did-not-investigate-the-issue-at-all are likewise to be accepted at face value. They were, after all, printed in the New York Times.

LOL -- this has 'blow-back' written all over it, doesn't it? Mrs. Wilson is going to need more than an umbrella.
Was sure went Bush went in; the first order of business would be to unload the Clintonites.
Did not happen; don't know what Bush was thinking then. . .wondering what he thinks now.
This story should be on the lips of every Repub spokesperson; and they should be demanding Wilson's head. . .and he should be held accountable for his outrageous lies.
Or is that too much to expect. . .
Find a perpetrator of treason; or someone willing to betray his country. . .trader and you will find someone who is a Liberal and a committed Democrat.
Liberals should not be trusted on any front; how could they; when they are in fact, enemy sympathisers; when they 'loathe America's politics; our history; our Military - when they believe we should share an 'equal playing field' with our enemies, when it comes to technology information and weaponry - rather than striving for a superiority.
Shudder to think what Kerry will bring; and who; as he and his minions strive to fill the myriad of positions with. . .Democrats.
He was a political appointee under Bush 41.
Wilson was a career Foreign Service officer, whose was elevated to mission status under Bush 41.
