Just got back from the Ann Coulter speech at the University of Law School (UNC). It was outstanding. The topic was solely the war on terrorism, liberals complaints about it, illegality of profiling swarthy males at airports, John Ashcroft and the lefts hate for him, and the general position of the left on the war on terrorism.
It was an incredible speech and I hope a transcript becomes available. She had some gem quotes that must make the rounds. There were very few protestors that I could see. One was standing at the entrance with a sign that had a Coulter quote on it. "There are no good democrats in America." --Ann Coulter
At first I didn't know if he was a supporter or a protestor. But upon opening his mouth he made it clear he was no fan of Ann Coulter.
There were a fair number of liberals in the crowd and they were surprisingly well behaved. They asked their questions in an almost respectful manner. Except for one who asked "With your perpetuation of race hate, how do you sleep at night?" Ann proceeded to cream her to roaring applause.
I hope to a transcript becomes available. It was a wonderful speech and all should read it. Even better would be an audio file of it.

So all this love for Ann and no love for the UNC Law Federalist Society, the student group that is responsibe for bringing her to UNC?
They did an awesome job with this event and have big plans for this year. It is not easy for student groups to pull off events like this. They need our support (both moral and financial) to make things happen...check out their webpage and see how you might be able to help their worhty cause: www.unc.edu/fedsoc.

Hey, I sent a nice e-mail to the UNC Law Federalist Society Co-President just today!
I'll be glad to support them when I can, even though I went to NC State!

I wish you could have been there!
I saw someone who looked like 2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten (he was there the time we met with MrConfettiMan in Durham), but I never could catch his eye.

Unfortunately, I'm on the Left Coast at the moment...

She signed my copy of "Slander" with my screenname at CPAC.
I've had my picture taken with her twice!
Once in a dress. Neener, neener, neener.

Joey Stansbury, by chance? If so, he took me to register to vote in Orange County back in 1993 (pre-motor voter). He's a cool guy.
If not, then I'm sure your Joey is cool too, even if I don't know him from Adam...
I'd say I'm jealous, but we got Alan Keyes, Star Parker, Walter Williams, Armstrong Williams, and William F. Buckley within the span of a year.

No it wasn't me (unfortunately). I only found about it after the fact. I would have been there getting my copy of Treason signed - or trying to anyway. Ann is a voice that I never get tired of hearing!

I got the same priviledge here in Georgia when she and Oliver North was here.
Got my books signed to me and my Mom. While she was signing my Mom's book I asked her to sign mine to "Babs" then let her know I hated that name was used for striesand and she didn't even spell her real name right. She signed my book "For Babs, enjoy the invective! Ann H. Coulter".
Oliver signed his autobiography to my father, retired army, "Harold, A real soldier Oliver North".
It was a great night.
Go Boyscouts!

Only at the White House Correspondence Association dinner and at various FReeps of Her Heinous.
This last year, I went as Helen Thomas. Smeared lipstick, dowager hump and all!
