A day late and a dollar short but I'm here. :o)

What a lovely picture of the First Lady! I'm thankful she helps in representing our great nation. Truly, she's someone to emulate and an example for our daughters. What a blessing.

I don't hate you, love. I'm kinda enjoying the cooler weather. This morning, at 7 a.m., it was an incredible 38 degrees F. But the sun is shining brightly and there's no frost. We'll still get some warm weather and glorious, golden autumn days when the leaves turn.

My complaint was the word, "SNOW." And it didn't happen. It's way too early to shift mental gears and start thinking about the white stuff.

Yes....it's one of my favorites too.

The passion in both of their faces is incredible. I mean, you can see it on his face, and you can only see a little of him.... and that is one CLOSE embrace!

I keep imagining the NEW pics we'll get like this in 2004!

Well, we did get some snow flakes last night, and our daughter was out romping around in the yard singing Christmas carols!

It dipped below freezing here, but there was nothing on the ground this morning.

It's always kinda fun when the first snow flakes fall, though, IMO.

These are from the Author's conference before the Inauguration, where her husband introduced Laura (and got choked up about how much he loved her), and when he came in, he patted her on the bottom, and she was heard to say, "Be a good boy, George!"

(You can see the devil in his eye.....and she's just smiling serenely like nothing happened!)

And one last favorite, at the Inauguration. It's priceless!

Is there a way to post here from my hard drive? I only know how to post pictures from other websites. I don't have a website of my own to post from, as I have seen some do. Thanks for any help you can give me!

I am sorry to say the answer is no. DeSoto sent me links to a number of inexpensive web hosts where you can upload and link and display your photos on an Internet web site like Free Republic. The deal is that a lot of web hosts that let you upload and display your pictures block you linking them, so you get the Red X; the ones DeSoto mentioned let you link (so the pictures are visible to others on another web site). I'll try to remember to send their names to you via FReepmail.

Does anyone know if Laura is home or when she's due back? Her travels have been on my mind today. How does she travel anyway? I can't imagine there's an Air Force One type plane for first ladies, but I can't imagine she goes commercial, either. Private planes, maybe? Hope the Pres. doesn't have any meetings or get-togethers tonight--except with her. ;-)
