KUWAIT CITY (AP)--Kuwaiti security authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle $60 million worth of chemical weapons and biological warheads from Iraq to an unnamed European country, a Kuwaiti newspaper said Wednesday.
The pro-government Al-Siyassah, quoting an unnamed security source, said the suspects had been watched by security since they arrived in Kuwait and were arrested "in due time." It didn't say when or how the smugglers entered Kuwait or when they were arrested.
The paper said the smugglers might have had accomplices inside Kuwait. It said Interior Minister Sheik Nawwaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah would hand over the smuggled weapons to an FBI agent at a news conference, but didn't say when.
Government officials couldn't be immediately reached for comment.
Iraqi Interior Minister Nouri Al-Badran met Tuesday with Sheik Nawwaf and discussed cooperation between the two countries in security matters. His visit is the first by an Iraqi interior minister to Kuwait since 1990.

"How would they know the value"
Well it could be that they brought the thumb screws and got the perps to tell how much they paid for this stuff. I doubt that there is any commodities market that prices these things per pound.

Yeah, but there's the other story out there about the arrest of a former Clinton ambassador, arab type, who donated $50,000 to Hillary's campaign. Arrested today carrying over $300K from Libya to, I think, Sudan. So, this could be a very bad weekend to be a D. Source/link?

Kuwait is pretty hip about WMD. I'm sure they called in some experts.

Abdul Rahman Al-Amoudi, who was arrested Monday at Dulles Airport, had been caught shortly before in London carrying a substantial sum of money from Libya.

"Ditto! Vesters show was excellent today!"
Yes, her show was great today. The soldier was in a house with others that was hit with rockets. He was hit by shrapnel, but I believe he helped one of his buddies who was also hit and injured badly. The other soldier lost both legs. I loved it when she asked him what his plans were while he was home, and he replied: "Well, I understand there's an opening for Governor in California." I found myself choking up throughout the whole segment. It was so nice that his father (a Vietnam vet) could be there with him. They can be very proud of each other, as we are of them.

I know. Frightening stuff to consider. I suppose every capture matters, tho, and sends a message to would be smugglers. Hopefully. How I wish we were able to find all of the hiding places of these horrible, ghastly weapons in Iraq and Afganistan.
America will know true and absolute fear when a biological or chemical weapon is let loose right here at home.
I believe our President has acted in a manner that has prevented this from happening-thus far. And fear the pacifism and poll driven leadership of democrats to a degree I have never felt before.
To: So Cal Rocket
Well, we don't know of course. And concern is appropriate. But if this is true, then at least that much won't get into bad guys hands. And Bush/Blair will be vindicated.
Also, it's at least a psychological blow to terrorist a$$holes who are interested in the stuff.

The crediblity of this story jumped way up for me when I checked DEBKA and could find nothing about it.

I have to wonder which major story is being relegated to the back burner by the ramped-up Wilson story.
Is it this one? Or is it the arrest of hitlery-campaign-donor Al-Amoudi? Hmmm...

It was so nice to see. I've been emailing FOX alot giving them positive feedback about their coverage of the good news. Think it's something we should tell them. That is really neat. I am going to do the same thing. I appreciate the balance they provide, it lifts my spirits to see the 'good' our nation does. I am so sorry the mainstream media is convinced that good news is no news. (But of course, good news doesn't fit in with their agenda, either.)

Some people see their role as being the perpetual 'voice of reason'. I don't know if it's a bad thing or not, but it can get tiresome, because you already know pretty much what such a person will say before they say it.

I heard this break about an hour ago on Hannity's radio show. Is this for real? Why isn't there a huge red "Fox News Alert" on FNC? I haven't heard Brit Hume mention anything about this yet during "Special Report"...
