You'd have a good point and I would agree with you were it not for the fact that the polls don't show this.
The polls show McClintock now does as well against Bustamante as Arnold.
A vote for Arnold is a vote for Bustamante - Only Tom Can Now Win - read the poll!
Tom McClintock has better favorable ratings than even Arnold now! Go Tom Go!

Polls several weeks ago showed that 17-19% of democrats were going to cross over and vote for Schwarzenegger. Now you try to tell me that the GAG issues won't drive them away. Sorry, but Gay rights, Abortion and Gun Control are three issues that just destoy the premise that Tom can win.
The Gallop poll has worked it's magic. You fell for it hook line and sinker.
