Heck we all remember how Al (the Bore) Gore did it very well during the 2000 presidential debates: whipping up stuff like how the cost of medicines cost more than his granny etc. Then we have the "Stupid White Man" namely "Michael Moore" and his piece of trash fiction called "Bowling For Columbine" which has gone so far as to state and super-hyped on the cover of the book as "The Most important piece of Gun research in the 20th Century - A Must Read".

The real question is "how is it that so many people (voters) believe these screwballs?????"

Does anyone remember Global Cooling from 1977-78?

CFC's were destroying the ozone layer creating the new ice age. Some whacko scientists with agendas were interviewed. Questions included why are Buffalo and Chicago buried under 200 feet of snow? Why is the Hudson and East Rivers frozen? Why is West Virginia cold? Why are so many dying? How many more will die? How will this impact the energy crisis?

Go back to ABC News archives from 1977-78 and you'll find story after story about global cooling. Barbara Walters sans chicken-neck and wig was young. She co-anchored with Frank Reynolds. I think Leonard Nemoy's paranormal series In Search of...did a special on the new ice age.

We were all doomed!

Then the summer melted the snows. Disco died. The Pirates and Steelers won. Reagan and the new Republicans won the election of 80. The hostages were freed. Interest rates began falling from 19-21%. The Barrel of oil began to drop. Taxes were slashed. And the USA won in Olympic hockey. The Dodgers finally beat the Yankees in the World Series with Gibson's homer. New wave music replaced punk. People began buying computers and reading Drucker. Girls wore two different shoes as a fashion statement. Cable replaced commercial TV. CNN replaced ABCNews. Barbara Walters started a newsmagazine with Hugh Downs named 20/20. It feature a young Gerald Rivera without a chicken neck and wig. CNN soon bought out its conservative rival SNN (Satelite News Network). Soon CNN ran stories about a new problem GLOBAL WARMING with a very young Bernard Shaw, sans chicken neck and wig. CNN reported that some scientists (possibly same ones from 77-78 but older with chicken necks and bad toupees) predicted that global warming was caused by CFCs and ozone as a result American success in the 1980s.

Such BS, Global warming is not for sure, but it is for sure that it is not man made. However, if one is to believe, "The Skeptical Environmentalist", an increase in global temperatures would trigger greater food production and save millions of people from malnutrition. Not what this article says at all.
