Citizen alert: Wirsing and Obama are stalking our livers

A person's body is a temple. Thus says the Lord. But why is it that the Illinois legislature, led by radical muslim activist Sen. Barack Obama (D-Chicago) and DeKalb County's own Rep. David Wirsing (R-Sycamore) are trying to defile that temple?

They've concocted a bill that sits in the rules committee today - Senate Bill 1412 - that every Christian American should be outraged over.

I'm talking about the Illinois Anatomical Gift Act, of which Wirsing and Obama are sponsors.This bill rewrites 2,000 years of natural law, as it gives "close friends" of deceased individuals the right to donate their organs to science, without any written permission.

That's vulgar. Nothing is more sacred than the body, except the soul. We have 1,000 years of common law in the Anglo-American legal system that says that property rights can only be transferred, at death, in writing by will. And now these subversives are trying to change the way the charitable world works. Imagine the chaos that will result from this act.

Anyone who claims to be a friend of a deceased can plausibly go to the authorities and proclaim that their organs are to be donated to science. Imagine the havoc this will place on families of regular people, if mischief makers get involved.

Even worse - what about the families of the famous? Would anyone like George Plimpton's brain? How about Robert Palmer's heart? Or John Ritter's smile?Thanks to Wirsing and Obama, this abominable state of affairs may now come to be.

I urge all citizens to write to their respective state representative or senator and object to this strange rewrite of the law.

It's not for me but I certainly don't find fault with anyone for wanting to do it. If one of my kids suddenly needed an organ I'd be all for it in an instant. Ignorance is bliss. Spiritually/biblically speaking, it is less defiling than blood transfusions or blood donations.

Want to take care of the organ shortage, allow organ sales. No, I do not mean E-Bay auctions, but promise people a reasonable, set price, enough to cover funeral costs and maybe a bit for the family, and the organs will roll in. Anyone who can afford a transplant can afford to kick down his part of $5,000 - $10,000 to the grieving family of the donor. Yes, I hear the incentive to murder arguement, but anyone dumb enough to commit murder for this little money is likely to get caught. Fry a few of them and send a message. Meantime we save literally thousands of lives of people who die waiting for an organ match. I believe Pennsylvania tried this, but only offered $300, not quite enough bait.

Is it conceivable that they are no nos? Drinking blood is a no no for Christians though it is not something that we think about much. Drinking vs transfusion is all the wiggle room needed for endless debate isn't it.

We need to contact the writer of this article for the Illinois paper and see if this person can construct the history of Obama's religion.

This man wants to be in our SENATE where he will have access to deep intelligence.

This is not an article; it is a letter to the editor. If you want to call Cecelia Hessing of DeKalb, Illinois, be my guest. Look her up in the phone book.

Ms. Hessing is incorrect. Barack Obama isn't a radical Muslim -- he's a Christian. According to this Chicago Sun Times article, he attends the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Trinity in the Brainerd neighborhood every week -- or at least as many weeks as he is able. His pastor, Wright, has become a close confidant. And Barack Obama has always been open about his Muslim grandfather.

Religion aside, Barack Obama is a liberal activist wrapped in moderates' clothing. We should be focusing on that instead.
