Man Allegedly Carrying Classified Documents "BOSTON -- A man was taken into custody at Logan International Airport Monday while allegedly carrying what appeared to be classified documents.
The man is a former translator at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp in Cuba, where the U.S. government has been holding suspected terrorists ABC News reported.
NewsCenter 5's Gail Huff reported that the man, identifed as Ahmed Mahaba, was returning from Egypt Monday morning when customs agents and Homeland Security workers conducted a random search and allegedly discovered that Mahaba had CD ROMS and other documents which appeared to contain classified information about the Guantanamo military base.
According to government officials, after the request for a search, Mahaba began to act nervously and officials discovered the classified information about the prison camp. Mahaba denied the documents were his, but Tuesday law enforcement and miliary officials are scrambling to figure out how far reaching security breaches may be at Guantanamo.
Mahaba's arrest follows the recent detention of Army Capt. Yousef Yee, a Muslim Chaplain, and the arrest of an Air Force translator, Senior Airman Ahmad I. al-Halabi, amidst suspicions they may have been spying for Syria. Al-Halabi, 24, was sent to the Cuban base as an Arabic language interpreter for the al-Qaida and Taliban suspects there. Al-Halabi has now been charged with espionage for allegedly e-mailing information about the camp to an unspecified "enemy".
Yee is being held in Charleston, S.C. Al-Halabi is detained at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. All three men allegedly took classified information from the base, which is supposed to be a secure facility run by military personnel."
Random? I don't believe it. I think it was anything BUT random.
If we assume that none of this was a planned CI event and instead the military/intel community has allowed the arabists to infiltrate and pillage some of our INTEL : One must wonder how incompetent (or naive) some of these military officials are.
This is two full years after the Islamic terrorist attack on our nation, including the Pentagon. Any moslem or arabist should be suspect. I know we have alliances. I know we have relationships. How stupid and derelict can some people be ???
D'OH!
Anyone with an understanding more than a milimeter thick, of Islam, would have avoided this problem.
I simply assumed that my government knew at least as much as I do.
I guess I was wrong.
The wonder of it all is that we managed to win the main battles in spite of their having their heads up their butt.
Islam is a system. A colony. Until historically recently, the concept of countries did not exist in Islam.
The traditional and unchanging loyalties are to clan, tribe, group and Islam. Period. It's not a big secret and I am looking at dozens of books in my library which are unanimous on this point, all written between 1900 and the present. Nothing has changed, except they have more financial resources and more intense rage.
That makes the "let's reason with them" approach pathetic.
And the "let's win their hearts and minds", suicidal.
Yeah. Let's use locals and imported muslims as translators. That's the ticket.
99.9% of them are peaceful and harmless.
Right?
Right?
