WebSourced, Inc Selected as One the Best Places to Work in Triangle Business Journal Platinum Rule Awards

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 26, 2003--WebSourced, Inc (OTCBB: CGIH) which offers search engine marketing services under the brand KeywordRanking.com, today announced that it has received two awards in the prestigious Platinum Rule Awards for the Best Places to Work 2003. Facing tough competition, WebSourced walked away from the event, held at Raleigh's Brier Creek Country Club, with both "Most Family Friendly" and "Incentives/Rewards/Recognitions" awards; one of only two companies to win awards in separate categories.

WebSourced has more than doubled the number of employees during the past year and is looking to move into new offices at the end of the 2003. While already known as one the largest search engine marketing companies in the world, the awards demonstrate that the company's success comes from ensuring a working environment that attracts North Carolina's top-tier sales and technical workers.

Accepting the award for "Most Family Friendly" company, CEO and President, Pat Martin said, "We are delighted to receive this prestigious honor. As we have grown our company we have endeavored to create a working environment that promotes family values and ensures a pleasant setting for our employees" Martin continued, "Our hard-working employees have played a pivotal role in the success of this company and we want to ensure that we give back to them by providing a company that understands and supports the needs of a family."

Chadd Lomoglio, vice president of sales, accepted the award for "Incentives/Rewards/Recognitions" on behalf of the company. "We have created a work-place that looks beyond simply providing a pay-check and benefits. Whether it's giving away tickets to sporting events, regular company outings or making sure that all employees are eligible for cash rewards, we have always looked to find new and exciting ways to motivate and reward every member of our company."

The upcoming issue of the Triangle Business Journal will feature further interviews with the company as well as photos of the winners.

They've doubled the number of employees in just one year! NC is a great place to do business.

My hubby recently turned down two job offers in the Raleigh Triangle area. I was so bummed. I wanted to move to NC, but hubby says no go at this time. So, here I am, stuck in CA where the median price of a home in my neck of the woods is 465,000. (And that's the cost of a simple 2,000 sq ft tract home on a postage stamp lot.) Sigh. Of course, we were lucky and bought our home when it was worth half that. Still...

He's got a new job offer to teach Electrical Engineering at Vanderbilt University. Another no go. Not enough money. (But Tennessee real estate is even cheaper than Raleigh/Durham!) Ah, me. I guess the guy is still stuck on CA high tech living.

Well you should tell him that it's definitely cheaper to live in NC and there's plenty of "high tech living" in the Triangle. CA's got nothing on us. Unless you LIKE living in Socialists' Paradise...

Wow...what's his problem? Now may be the time to take the inflated value out of your house and relocate over here.

Speaking of North Carolina, does anyone have any info about the Asheville area concerning jobs? I have heard that it is a nice area climate-wise -- being up in the mountains, the summers are bearable but the winters are not too severe as compared with places further north. I would like to hear some feedback about the Asheville area.

Good place to be a gay artist, or to teach college, or to run a tourist hotspot, or to buy an apple orchard...

I agree about the inflated value of our home and life in CA.

Hubby is an engineer. They are a brilliant, but strange breed. They don't like change unless it's technologically or scientifically driven. Sigh. He's a good provider, husband and father, so I shouldn't really complain too much. (But I love the south.)

I moved from Va to NC for a job and now my fiancee and I are getting ready to move out of NC. This place is run by a legion of clueless people and it's not heading in the right direction. The state government is gigantic - it's not getting smaller. If it keeps it up it will not be long before you can throw this state in with Mass., NY, Calif., etc. A very small example - the city of Greensboro, where I live, just bought a hockey team. And no, I don't mean just a team. The city is paying for the salaries of the players and staff. I know there are a handful of towns or counties that own a baseball team or stadium. But no one has taken on the whole business like this. Manufacturing jobs are leaving this state like crazy, and NC is not doing enough to attract new kinds of business. Sure you could work in the Triangle. But Durham is a hole (I used to work there) and Raleigh and Cary housing are getting very expensive for regular people. I just read something called the Small Business Survival Index, which ranked NC 37th of 50 because of high taxes and crime. It's not a pit here, but it's not paradise.

Tourism and real estate.
Beautiful setting, nice weather, gotten very expensive real estatewise. Buncombe Co. has become a haven for weirdos, crystal worshipers, environmentalists, gays, etc.

I have family in the area and visit often, going to make an apple run over there this weekend.

If they beat out SAS ( in Cary) they must be extra special.

I don't enjoy living in this socialist's paradise. (There are other places overun by libs and high real estate...like Massachusetts!) California was cool about twenty years ago when I first moved here. But lately, I have become more and more disenchanted with the econmoy, ludicrous real estate, whacky politics, and hearing more Spanish spoken than English when I go out and about. Well, at least I have some good friends and my hubby still has a high tech business that pays.
The scenery is pretty nice, too.

Excuse my whining...;)

Hendersonville and Asheville have really high real estate prices compared to the rest of NC. I have friends who live in Polk County on White Oak Mountain. They say that the real estate prices are high because everyone in NC and out of state wants to retire there. A lot of rich liberal seniors have taken over entire communities. At least that's what my friend says...

Has your husband done any research on the RTP area? Doesn't sound like it. Surely real estate would be less than half Ca.

Yea, I know. I'm just trying to be a little more positive. After all, the Republicans have only had a chance at influencing for 1 year. And there are so many fiscal conservatives here who are just now gaining a voice in policy.

Your friends are correct. In the summer you see more Fla. license tags than NC tags. The Floridiots come to the mountains to escape the heat. Then they buy a place and retire there.

I'm a transplanted Floridiot myself. Not retired and not in the mountains though.

Actually, my husband is not convinced that moving to another state would be in his interest at this time. He has a job (worked over 23 years at HP, now Agilent) and has a relatively successful consulting business. (Security/encryption stuff.)

He's had offers from Cisco and Red Hat in NC. He's worried that he would move there and then those businesses would lay him off if times got any leaner than they are now. (Plus, he makes really good money in CA--but with the cost of living everything is relative.) It's hard to move when you're in your forties and have worked in one place most of your life. Hubby really enjoys his job and business.

Maybe when we're in our late fifties, we'll move to White Oak Mountain or Lake Lure. Of course, by then, real esate will have surpassed CA prices! Then we'll find ourselves in a sea of lefty libs and wonder why we even left California. :)

I can't really blame him. In his shoes I'd likely make the same decision.
I did move from S. Fla. in my early forties. I had 23 yrs with a Co. Gave up some security ( though that may not have been so, as the Co. I worked for has gone through some major changes) retirement, etc. But I couldnt stand it down there another minute. My BP dropped 10 points after the move.
No longer do I duck when a car backfires. (g)
All things considered, I'm glad I moved.

BTW. I've been on the Cisco campus. Very modern, 5 buildings I believe. They were slow for awhile but are starting to get the business again from what I have read. Know little about Red Hat other than Linux.

Well, when you phrase it that way, it makes Asheville sound less appealing. Somehow I have the image of New Agers worshipping crystals and gays wearing crystals like Liberace. My Feng Shui doesn't swing that way.
