[history]
Los Angeles -- Gov. Gray Davis and Arnold Schwarzenegger will pivot their campaigns dramatically in the final week before the recall election, believing that Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante has been little help to the Democratic governor and Schwarzenegger has enough support to win despite a tough Republican challenger.

Yep. I think Large Breasts is mortally wounded. Gray Davis will now have to fight for his job on his own but going negative will help to erase all the "nice guy" impressions he spent the past month cultivating with voters in townhall style meetings across the state. Davis' problem is his name is the only one on the first part of the ballot and his one shot left is to persuade voters choosing someone else is too risky. Then again going negative will simply remind voters what they dislike about the governor. He's caught between a rock and a hard place in this recall election.

It's the only game Davis knows how to play.

McClintock, meanwhile, shows no sign of heeding calls by top Republicans to abandon the race because he is splitting the GOP vote. The conservative state senator told reporters Saturday he would "stay the course." Soreloserman.

Didja see "Doonebury" this morning? Trudeau is foaming at the mouth and apoplectic with rage that Arnold can pull this out. Something about "an inexperienced ego monkey is trying to replace a twice elected governor" in order to deal with a horrendous fiscal crisis. Then he has a sample petition to recall Schwarzenegger.
Guess he wrote the strip before the debate, where Busty admitted they spent too much money and thqat things were really bad - a situation that only falls in the lap of Democrats, since they control all organs of government.
He was so virulent, I half expected to see him plug McClintalk.

Wow... and, normally, you'd expect nothing but sober good sense and Constitutionalist values from Trudeau.

The conservative state senator told reporters Saturday he would "stay the course." Soreloserman. If he stays in, McClintock will lose a lot of support when he tries for another statwide office (like Boxer's Senate seat).

Expect some real dirty tricks to emerge closer to the election in California. What most people aren't saying is that the national Democratic leadership is in a serious state of angst and panic. Why? If Arnold manages to win on October 7th, it COULD portend a Bush win in CA in '04.
Democrats don't give a rat's a** for Davis or Busty; all they are concerned with is the electoral votes the state possesses.

Davis, the Grandmaster of Puke Politics, is showing signs of
Total Repugnancy as he is so desparate to hold on to his declining power.
It's Arnold who is flexing his muscles in full Total Recall mode. He's got the flash, dash, & cash to mash the corrupt Davis/Bustamante machine.

Correct. Arnold is not running against Davis and is smart to ignore Davis' panic.

said Tucker Carlson," What Republicans really don't like, is someone reminding them what they are supposed to stand for."
Arnold is no different from Davis or Bustamonte. They are all for killing 3000 babies a day, disarming everyone, supporting homosexuality, supporting Illegal Immigration, supporting racial classification. A vote for Arnold is a vote for MORE liberal left wing democrats.
Arnold can't win if we don't vote for him. If Arnold wins California will be no different. If Arnold doesn't have the Guts to Debate a half dead Gov. Davis, he will not have the guts to do anything in Sacramento. Arnold is just a puppet for the Kennedys.
Its TOMAHAWK TIME BABY.
