Tick, Tock
Time runs out
for McClintock.
If he can't win,
then none of us wins.
We'll suffer under Davis again.
But, hey, Arnold's my man.
He'll boot Davis/Bustamante in the can.

Yeah, Miller is right.
A no compromise Iconoclast like McClintock can be an asset in the Senate, singing the true conservative song. With Party support he can beat Boxer like a gong.
A no compromise, Iconoclastic figure like McClintock is simply going to be a failure as a Governor, because the State legislature will not give him exactly what he wants on anything. Even if he should win, he won't pass or sign a single piece of legislation during his entire term.

If all of you who say "McClintock is the best Candidate, but can't win", would have VOTED for HIM , he would come out on top!!! You will have to accept a Bustamonte win as YOUR FAULT and no one else!!!! Not to mention , it will be the beginning of the end of the Republican Party as you have known it. Expect a MASS EXODUS!!!!!

Whether McClintock pulls out or not is irrelevant to his political future. He's already toast with the Cali Republican party. He's already regarded as a bitter-ender, a stubborn non-team player, an obstacle and a tremendous, expensive distraction to the front-running party candidate.
He already has blown support in any hypothetical future race against Boxer or any elected dog-catcher.
McClintock knows this very well, so he has to stay in the race on the odd chance he could win. It's his only opportunity to stay in politics. He won't win, so he's toast any way you look at it. Party politics on this high level is unforgiving.
Let's look at the hard political reality. The Republicans MUST take the rich California prize. A victory for the Pubs will impact the political psychology of the entire nation. It will aid President Bush's re-election enormously.
Consider the ramifications of a Democrat victory. A victory for them will revitalize the national Democrat party, its contributors, the Clintonistas, the liberal media, Boxer, Feinstein and Gray Davis. Alec Baldwin and the Hollyweird crowd, etal, will be jublilant.
There will be no giant sucking sound coming out of the Golden State if Bustamente wins, only the gasping sound from the deflation and collapse of whatever demoralized Republican party remains there.
California remaining in Democrat hands politically impacts the entire country and, most importantly, the next presidential election. So non-Californians DO have a dog in this fight, which is why this arch-conservative but realistic Floridian Republican is putting her two cents into this debate.

Time to wake up, McClinton-tock
You ain't gonna win.
California will not elect you to office,
the only GOP candidate who has a chance
of winning in this state is Arnold.
Now go tell Hillary, you've snapped out of
your hypnosis, and you're not gonna be the stooge-man
to help her HOLD on to power in California for
the 2004 Presidential Election!

And you will get what you deserve if the baby-killer wins.
From http://www.sacbee.com/content/politics/recall/story/7309404p-8253809c.html
After three weeks of silence on social issues, GOP gubernatorial candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger aligned himself with a majority of voters Wednesday by supporting abortion rights ... He said he supported domestic partnerships at a time when polling shows Americans are becoming more accepting of same-sex relationships.
...the action star said he supports the assault weapons ban, the Brady bill and trigger locks the state now requires for each handgun sold.
...he supports using medicinal marijuana, a view in line with California voters who easily approved Proposition 215 in 1996.
Gun control, abortions and domestic partnerships. And another Kennedy in office.

I thought the Green name had something to do with the environment but obviously its all about envy. Truly the best line from the piece at the head of this thread. Notable and quotable!

If BustaMove wins this, it will be because of you folks How so? Arnold isn't ENTITLED to McClintock's votes. He has to earn them. If Arnold doesn't get them, it means he wasn't good enough to earn them.
